A look behind the scenes at my poster artwork for Metallica’s opening shows at Sphere in Las Vegas!

I drew this in Clip Studio Paint, and it took roughly 40 hours. My inspiration was this spirit/mythos of Metallica and the Metallica Army descending upon Las Vegas and the Sphere.

With the second show happening tonight, I finally get to share the drawing process. Getting to create these posters for Metallica is a huge honor!

Thank you all for the comments and support and again THANK YOU Metallica for and F4D Studios for the opportunity.

What an absolute and acute honor (and pleasure!) it is to have done a drawing for the magnificent @davidbyrneofficial for his stop in Saratoga Springs, NY. Once again, a mighty simultaneous thank you and apologies to Tim @f4dstudios for the grief I caused him and to Matt for the trouble. AP information will be available very soon!

Today we have both of @maxxer242 @dirtyheads prints! The left one is for the August 19th show, and the right one is for the August 5th show! Both of the prints are beautiful in every way imaginable! The Chula Vista print I was at magic kingdom frantically trying to get service to purchase these we were on the little mermaid ride and service dropped lol the second we got and I saw daylight I had a minute to rush to purchase these order! And went through immediately I was so relieved the rest of the day! The council bluffs print I’m extremely happy to have gotten it! The only thing that bummed me out was I didn’t realize there were two post for the reg and foil. Still on the hunt for the aug 5th foil I’m sure it will turn up eventually. #music #dirtyheads #fyp

The Foo Dog is an ancient symbol of protection, strength, and positive energy. For a band that has spent decades traveling from city to city, it represents a guardian on the road, keeping away the bad energy while protecting the good vibes that @311 brings wherever they go. This print will be available at The Walmart Amp in Rogers, AR. Artist variants will be announced soon. Thank you 311, @f4dstudios and @inhousesilkscreen for bringing this idea into fruition.

A few years back I had my first shot at a Dirty Heads poster design. The concept being the DH mascot on a boat being towed out to sea by a couple of sharks. For this one designed for the Casper Wyoming show, the sharks got their 8 legged passenger far out enough and deep down it went to be greeted by a couple of its fellow ocean floor dwellers. I am once again grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Dirty Heads on another fun one. Here you go along with some pencil sketches of these awesome sea creatures.
