DECEMBER 2021 * December is something like Sunday of the year. But this December seems like the Sunday of a century. It was a long year, but it passed us quickly; It was terrible, but we learned and became strong; It was isolation, but we were closer than ever. We had fear, anguish, anger, pain, uncertainty. We were perplexed, incredulous, scared, angry. We cry, we clap, we shout, we help each other. We bury our dead without a wake. We bid them farewell in silence. We grew up. We learned epidemiology, technology, virology. We learned about antibodies, curves and PCR, also from Meet, Team, Instagram, Live and Zoom. Never has so much happened to us in such a short time. And here we are. We are survivors of a time that blew up in our faces. It is December and we have the right to get excited. To cry. To hug each other in silence for so many hugs that we did not give each other. To kiss with the soul. To caress us with the looks. To celebrate more than ever. Because now we know what time is worth, what it means to open our eyes every morning. We come to the end and it is only the beginning. Because we woke up, that's why it was not a lost year. We have gained more than ever, we have gained the value of life. This December we have to think about something more important than nougats and little trees. Let's run to tell the love we feel to those we love. Let's go out and forgive those who hurt us and ask forgiveness from those we hurt. Let's look around to help those who fell by the wayside. And let's not waste time: * LET'S BE BETTER *
