It’s a bit surreal to see these two together track side. Years of dreaming & visualizing, late nights wrenching away & prepping has all led up to this. So much has gone into both of these builds & there’s so much more to do but we’re going to keep trusting the process & enjoying even the smallest amounts of progress along the way.

Still mind-blown when I look back & think about everything we’ve accomplished together so far.

Over 10 years of ownership with the EK, went from being my daily driver to becoming a dedicated track car. In the span of 4 years, it has done track events all along the West Coast, from SoCal to the PNW & street driven to all of them.

4 years & counting with the EG, found this one through a friend. It sat at a body shop since 2017, unregistered, unpainted & unloved. Went from barely making it home to now coming together as a capable machine for @chicchai_cindy to get seat-time in!

The track day came & went so quickly but I’m glad we had a chance towards the end to slow down & take it all in. Thankful for the journey & thankful for the cool people that we have encountered on this road. Many more laps to come🏁💫

Late post but what an absolute MOVIE it was for July. Where do I even start? Track day, Wekfest, tunnels and hangs with @boomboomtisk and @k.eg_luis , etc. Having the Cali and Chicago homies up here to experience Ridge was an amazing time, vibes were vibin, drives were drivin. Already can’t wait to return the favor at Thunderhill!

As for track goes, tried out some new CR-S tires and they GRIP these tires definitely mean business over the 615+ I was running before, not much of an improvement but did PB by a millisecond to 2:07.3 over my previous 2:07.4. Didn’t get to chase down that 2:05 I was desperately looking to catch on the stock LS setup because of the gear ratios. Next track day we will have a gsr trans to help chase that time. Maybe then I can finally hawk down @fa5_sean and pull away from @vsvpglenn and @deeduhc 😂

Of course my other half @geo.cinema there to capture it all and live it at the same time ❤️ 📸

𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯!

A pitstop in Portland, Oregon while on our way home back to NorCal.

Last year when we drove up to the PNW, I received a few DM’s & comments suggesting that I should check out Portland’s local car scene. During that trip, we didn’t get a chance to make any plans with anyone but I knew this time around we needed to set up something with our Oregon friends. With the turnout of dope local Hondas that came out on such short notice & on a Monday night of all things, I can definitely say that I was pleasantly stoked to make this happen.

The collection of builds that came out to meet us couldn’t have been more perfect & in line with what I was hoping to see. Getting to share a space with other Honda enthusiasts who favor driving these cars hard over everything else was really refreshing as we compare notes about our experiences on tracks & roads local to us respectively.

This particular EJ1 coupe pulled up & pulled quite a reaction from the crowd around it. It sits tastefully aggressive with @tracklifecomposites fenders over @groupb.unltd NC-01 wheels with a cut rear bumper. I didn’t get a chance to speak one on one with the owner & get any more details about what motor it’s running but after noticing that both side mirrors have been deleted & blocked off, I get the impression that he doesn’t need to look back very often.

One individual that I was looking forward to finally meet was @brianbkrr , a friend that I’ve made & kept in contact with solely through IG for about 7 years now.

He had a black MX73 Cressida that I was a total fan of but his current EG hatch is downright eye-candy for me. Brian absolutely nailed the Osaka-inspired traditional paint scheme & door zekken, sitting on SSR Type-X (because what other wheel could you possibly put on this) & rightfully B16A3 powered to finish it off as authentically as possible.
