better late than never! we wanted to share some photos, videos, and details about the outcome of our fundraiser back in february!

firstly, a huge thanks to all of our artists, bakers, performers, volunteers, and guests! with y’all’s help we were able to raise $24,165 for the CLUES emergency relief fund and the immigrant law center of MN! after a few hurdles, both organizations have been given their $12,000ish which they’re able to put towards the amazing work they do.

this event was a demonstration of how people coming together using their skills, hobbies, and passions can make a big difference locally. it truly takes a village. our village was the 23 artists who sold their work in person, 52 artists who donated work in advance, 30 volunteers who helped day-of, 17 people who donated baked goods for the cake walk and bake sale, 26 local businesses and service providers who donated prizes for the raffle, 6 performers, our 4 core event planners. this event wouldn’t have been the same without everyone who contributed and we are so thankful.

and best of all, we are happy to say that we had over 1,300 people attend the event! there were so many of you it was hard to keep count at the door. it was beautiful to see the twin cities show up in solidarity and open their pockets for this cause. the bake sale was entirely sold out, there were 15 winners in the cake walk, $2,500 in raffle prizes given out to winners, and many artists sold out of their inventory. this event reinvigorated many local creatives who had been out of the game a while, gave them the opportunity to create more for the first time in a while after selling out their stock, and reminded folks that art and activism will always be interconnected.

we put this event together after only 18 days of planning which consisted of many meetings, hundreds of emails, and 57 pages of planning documents. we couldn’t have done it without the generous support of all who participated. this event was just one of so many incredible fundraisers going on in minneapolis and we encourage everyone to stay engaged, hopeful, and active in our communities.

stay tuned for our next fundraiser on april 26th! details coming soon!
