This coming Friday, my new album Rain, Flowers and New Beginnings will be released. 🌧️🌸🦋

This music has been with me for quite some time, so this moment feels especially meaningful to me. With this album, I feel like I’m entering a new phase — and I’m very excited and happy to finally share it with you.

The album will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital stereo.

As a little preview, here are a few words from the wonderful Chris Cheek, who wrote the liner notes:

“With Rain, Flowers and New Beginnings, Maik Krahl shares a brilliant next step in his evolution as a trumpet player, composer and bandleader. His warm, dynamic and flexible sound combined with beautiful intonation and a relaxed melodic sensibility reflect a mature player exhibiting masterful control of the instrument coupled with steadfast emotional restraint.

Maik demonstrates an honesty and generosity in his writing and trumpet playing that gives the listener a glimpse into an inspired inner world. His compositions are engaging and adventurous without being over-reaching, and his extraordinary and adept band handles his diverse repertoire with agility, grace and good taste!

To have achieved such a high level at such an early age is remarkable and a positively welcome harbinger of all the wonder-full music we can anticipate from Maik Krahl in the days and years ahead.”

Thank you, Chris, for these beautiful words. 💚🙏

I hope the music finds its way to you and perhaps becomes part of a few special moments of your own.

See you on Friday.👋🚀
