One of the least understood principles in street economies is reputation value.

People think rep is built on money.

Welp. It’s not.

That’s why your name gotta be worth more than the cash in your pocket.

Predictability has value.

If people know you’ll do what you said you’d do, they’ll absolutly bet on you.

If they know you’ll panic, fold under pressure or sacrifice your word for (self) gratification, they’ll remember that too.

Your reputation is always compounding.

Every decision either adds to your rep or withdraws from it.

People will fumble a reputation that took years to build for just a few minutes of attention.

Don’t confuse being talked about with being respected. Those are two hella completely different types of currencies.

All that attention and clout comes and goes super fast.

Your name and reputation stay with you forever.

Protect it accordingly 🫡🔐💪🏾🖤

Maaaaybe I’m wrong, but it sure does feel like people are always in a hurry with their builds.

They want results now, recognition now, and maybe some clout too before they sell off the car.

But timing matters.

A tree doesn’t pull on its own branches to grow faster.

So why do we move fast just for the sake of keeping up with social media?

Almost everything I appreciate today took hella longer than I thought it would.

Maybe that’s just how meaningful things work — you know what I mean?

It’s like, think about your build or somethin in your own life you’re hella proud of.

Like super proud of.

Chances are, that sh*t didn’t happen in six months.

Or even a year.

It probably took waaay longer than you expected.

And if it did happen kinda quick, I’d bet there was a longer story behind how you did that.

I think takin your time, takin the long road is worth it because the journey changes your relationship with the build.

Think of the built-not-bought argument.

Sure, day one of a bought build feels great, but you’ll never love it like you built it. You weren’t physically present. It doesn’t have your DNA.

You see what I’m sayin?

Love comes from investment ☝🏾🔐
