There is a GAP between your current abilities (& potential) and the results you want to get. Training is what closes the gap.

Knowing exercises takes you nowhere if you don’t understand how to force the body to adapt & change shape, and how to drive sustainable change into the system.

Flashy exercises: fun 👍🏼 I believe having fun has the biggest value, but there is only so much 🦆ing around you can do when you are chasing a specific outcome.

So: exercises are tools to drive adaptations 😃 You changing how you train every week because you are as lost as an octopus 🐙 in a garage 🔧: big waste of time & resources 🤨

Waking up early is brutal, but the feeling is always so worth it!! @gulfmultisport

Lately I've been loving the shorter distances, and today's 5K was extra special because I got to share it with someone I love so much. Thank you, my love, for being such an amazing partner!

Looking forward to the next one in November 😎

❗️you CAN’T “create” intra-abdominal pressure.

Intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) is a tool to describe the state of space at your abdominal cavity for its contents (fluid+organs), meaning it’s ALWAYS there, not something that shows up when you brace. I’ve seen coaches use them as synonimous, but they are not.

🩻
IAP can increase or decrease depending on your breathing behaviors, because the thoracic cacvity it’s a closed(ish) space, which means:

compress the cavity, pressure will go up. Decompress it and it will go down. Compress only specific areas and it will go to wherever there is space left.

🔒 Now why do we need to BRACE (why is it useful) when lifting big weights?

✅️ Engaging the core muscles in this manner helps building & maintaining stability, and it helps specially with force transference. When the foundation is not stable, force will leak and efficiency will be lost, meaning moving heavy weights will become waaaay more taxing.

Hope this helps you in some way 😃

Everybody wants results, but how bad do you REALLY want them? 💪🏼

It’s easy to talk about goals. It’s another thing to show up, put in the work, and push yourself when those legs are already burning! 🍑🔥

Lower body was SOLID today! Every rep, every set, every little push counts. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being hungry enough to keep going.

You want stronger? You want better? You want growth?

THEN GO EARN IT! 💙🔥

THURSDAY ENERGY! 🔥💪🏼

It’s not about how fast you move or how quickly you see results. It’s about knowing your direction and refusing to stop showing up!

The strength comes. The progress comes. The results come. But none of it happens without CONSISTENCY! 💯

We’re almost through the week, but we’re NOT slowing down! Keep showing up, keep putting in that work, and trust what you’re building. One workout, one day, one promise to yourself at a time! 👏🏼🔥

Who’s still putting in that WORK with me?! 💪🏼

A little strength, a little stamina, a whole lot of WORK! 😮‍💨

Full-body hybrid conditioning today, with the core putting in OVERTIME! We’re building more than muscle over here. Strength, endurance, stability, power, and the ability to MOVE with purpose.

I love challenging my body in different ways, pushing past what feels comfortable, and discovering what I’m capable of.

Because looking strong is one thing… FEELING strong and performing even stronger? That’s a whole different energy! 😏⚡

Now who’s getting after it today?! Let’s GO! 🔥

Speed can (& should) be added on top of very thick and well built layers of strength (yes, hypertrophy too).

Strength is the capacity on top of which the rest of our physical abilities rest.

⬇️

A weak structure can't be fast (or powerful), because the intensity would pulverize it. Impact would deform it.

You can't take anything from the floor and keep it going if you become crumbles upon contact 🤪

And of course strength is built through many repetitions, which also allows to settle the technique.

So first the basics, then (& always) the explosiveness 😃

ALSO, intention matters ❗️I've shared how much I love marches for multiple reasons/uses before, but here you can see really well how prescribing a movement for stability looks very different from wanting it to teach how to punch the floor (which is the case in this vid!) 🦭

We’re not just moving weights over here. We’re building strength, pushing limits, and making every damn rep count! Heavy lifts, controlled movements, and that lower-body burn that hits DIFFERENT. 😮‍💨

Strong legs. Strong mindset. Unstoppable energy.

Now tell me… are we training legs or making excuses today?! 👀🔥
