📍 Fa Cafe, Leicester @facafe.uk

We headed back to FA Cafe after a while and had to try a few of their drinks! 🤎☕️

🍪 Cookie Butter Matcha with Oat Milk
Such a different matcha but SO good! You could taste the matcha first, followed by the cookie butter flavour. The combination was honestly perfect 🌟

🤎 Iced Brown Sugar Latte with Oat Milk
Really enjoyed this one! The coffee flavour was just right and the sweetness was perfectly balanced.

💚 Iced Pistachio Spanish Latte
We LOVE a pistachio latte and this was packed with flavour! It actually reminded me of Ratio when we visited Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦

Which one would you try? 👀

whimsy walks & maple matcha 🍂🎃🧡🫶🏻

autumn matcha collected from the sweetest small business owner - fa café in leicester🍵 @facafe.uk

we went for the cookie butter matcha & salted maple - the perfect toasty drinks which scream autumn!!! my husband was obsessed with cookie butter, with notes of gingery biscoff, whereas my new go to is definitely the salted maple, for that warm nostalgic 2000s fall feeling🍂🍁🎃👻

urging all matcha girlies to support this small business 🧡

🍵☕ FaCafé

This one was such a good find, especially from a small business!

The Iced Coconut Matcha was amazing — the coconut worked so well with the matcha and honestly, you can’t go wrong with this combination.

The Iced Spanish Latte was just as good. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee, exactly how I like a Spanish latte to be.

I also had a sip of the Hot Salted Maple Latte. It wasn’t actually my drink, but I had to try it and I was so impressed. I’d never had a salted maple latte before, and this one has definitely set the bar high!

🌸 Blush: 9/10
☕ Brew: 10/10
✨ Overall Sip: 9.5/10
🔁 Sip Again? Absolutely

🍒 Final verdict: Three amazing drinks and not a single miss — FaCafé is definitely one to try.

🍵 MATCHA & THE CITY | THE COOKIE BUTTER EDIT 🍪

Cookie butter matcha is officially having its moment in Leicester… so obviously I had to jump on the hype 👀🍵

This week’s Matcha & The City is a little different because I’m putting the spotlight on 3 Leicester spots serving up their take on the cookie butter matcha - and trust me, they all understood the assignment 🤎

Three spots. Three cookie butter matchas. Three very different takes on one of the matcha flavours of the moment.

From creamy layers and that signature spiced Biscoff-style flavour to matcha coming through underneath… consider this your Leicester cookie butter matcha guide.

But now for the important question…

Which one are you trying first? 👀👇🏾

Or have you found another cookie butter matcha in Leicester that needs to be on my list? 🍵🍪

Recent favourite sips & bites in Leicester🍴

Some spots I’ve had on rotation lately and a few new finds that easily deserve a spot on this list. In no particular order because it’s hard enough choosing favourites🙊:

2. @facafe.uk - some of the best matchas i’ve had🤌🏼
3. @kbkakes - the viral london cake & family favourite mango pudding.
4. @leicester.chickaros - The Chicken Parm never fails.
5. @drink.machaii - Supporting independent cafés and the drinks hitting better than most mainstreams☕️
6. @chocoberry_cafe - apparently im a waffle person now😂
7. @cattleandsmoke - The deep-filled chicken sandwich, a reliable fave

Most of these aren’t new discoveries, just solid choices I keep going back to so you know they’re good🙂‍↕️

Have you tried any of these spots? What’s been on your rotation? ☕️
