Becoming an esthetician has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself. ✨🤎

I was pregnant with my fourth baby when I decided to go to esthetics school. Everyone thought I was crazy, but chasing my dreams while raising my babies never sounded crazy to me. It sounded like a dream worth chasing. 🥹

Five years later, I get to celebrate everything I’ve built, the people I’ve met, and now the opportunity to share my knowledge and journey with others.

What an honor it is to turn something I once dreamed of into a life I get to live every day. And the best part? I’m just getting started. 🫶🏼

happy national esthetician day to the career that has become so much more than just a career to me. 🤎

being an esthetician is genuinely my favorite personality trait. ask me about skin, acne, ingredients, hormones, the skin barrier, or literally anything remotely related to what i do & i could talk for hours. i love that i get to be endlessly curious, constantly learning, asking questions, and always wanting to understand the why behind what i do. i love that i care this much. i love that something i’m so passionate about gets to be my actual job.

owning a business has also changed me in more ways than i can even put into words. it has challenged me, humbled me, pushed me outside of every comfortable little box i’ve ever put myself in, & forced me to become a version of myself i don’t think i would have met otherwise. it has taught me how to believe in myself before i have all the answers, how to take risks on the things i want, and how to build something that reflects who i am instead of waiting for someone else to create it for me.

there is something so special about looking around at a life you once only dreamed about and realizing that, little by little, you built it yourself. not without a lot of bullshitting your way through it, but with so much heart, intention, and a whole lot of hard work.

and then there are the people. 🤍

i genuinely don’t think i could ever fully explain how much the people i’ve met through this career mean to me. the clients who have trusted me with their skin, their insecurities, their stories, and little pieces of their lives. the people who have supported my business, celebrated my wins, referred their friends, and continued to show up for me. the incredible estheticians i’ve connected with, learned from, and had the privilege of encouraging along the way. Somehow, relationships start with a skincare appointment and turn into something so much bigger.

DAY 3 | A full-circle moment. 💙🩵🥹

What better way to wrap up my Hydrafacial Esthetician Ambassador Summit series than on National Esthetician Day?!

As I reflect on this experience, I can’t help but think about how far I’ve come in this industry.

One thing I don’t want to overlook is the importance of REPRESENTATION. Being the only woman of color on this trip is something I’m very aware of, and I don’t take the opportunity to occupy these spaces lightly.

Representation matters. Not just being invited into the room, but being seen, heard, valued, and creating opportunities for others who look like me to have a seat at the table too.

I’m proud of the esthetician I’ve become, the business I’ve built, and the doors that continue to open. And I hope that somewhere, another esthetician who looks like me sees this and knows that these opportunities are possible for her, too.

I am so grateful I found my community within the estie world👭

I still can't believe it's been almost 8 months since I left my full time job(working as a Medical assistant)
and decided to invest full time into my business/skincuties💖

If you think I have everything completely figured out behind the scenes... think again😵‍💫

Especially business-wise, (ya girl cannot do math🥴)
I'm learning as I go, making it up a little bit at a time, but pouring my whole heart into it🥹

Happy National Esthetician Day 🥹🤍

This industry has changed so much for me over the years, from working hands on with clients, to becoming completely obsessed with acne, clearing clients virtually worldwide, building my own skincare line, educating other estheticians, and getting to make a career out of something I genuinely love.

But I think my favorite part will always be the people.

The clients who trusted me with their skin when they felt like they had tried everything. The estheticians I’ve met and become friends with along the way. And now getting to watch other estheticians use Mixi in their own treatment rooms with their own clients will probably never stop being surreal to me.

This industry has given me so much more than I ever expected when I first became licensed.

Very grateful for this little career of mine 🥹

today is national aesthetician day 🤎

2026 marks 4 years in the industry… And to be quite honest, I couldn’t imagine NOT being an aesthetician. Being @skinwithbrooke is my biggest personality trait 🤭

Being an aesthetician has literally shaped me into the person I am today! This career has given me such a sense of accomplishment & fulfillment.

The aesthetics industry is truly such a special one. I’m so grateful for all of my estie friends, and this amazing community. Happy estie day to all my fellow aestheticians!!

I’ll never take this career for granted. Every single day, I get to help people build confidence + connect with the most amazing clients. Every person I have met through this career has touched my heart! Building relationships with my clients is so special to me. Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful faces!! IT’S NATIONAL ESTHETICIAN DAYYYY 🌀⛓️💿

growing up, confidence was really hard for me. i was tall and pale with super long legs and didn’t feel confident in myself for a long time. (now im older and i think it’s the shit but anyway)

one thing i did feel good about was my skin. i never struggled with acne. even though i didnt know the struggle of feeling bad about my skin, i knew the struggle of feeling bad about myself.

that feeling has always stuck with me. i know how much your confidence can be affected by the way you see yourself, and that’s a huge part of what drew me to aesthetics.

fast forward (almost) 5 years, and i get to make sooo many people feel good about themselves, i niched down, opened my own business, and now, i’m mentoring other estheticians.🥹

being an esthetician has fulfilled me in ways i never knew i needed. it’s not anything like what i pictured for myself. it’s so much better. 🤍

forever grateful for my beautiful clients for choosing me, and my estie besties who make me feel seen and heard. here’s to today and many more years to come. happy estie day✨
