Let's talk about AUGUST WINTER WEDDINGS for a minute. I've noticed that while August used to be a "quiet" time in the Wedding Industry, it seems that it's becoming more popular these days. What's your preference? WINTER WEDDING, or PERTH SUMMER WEDDING. In other words, would you rather deal with the potential cold and rain on your say or the intense heat that summer bring? Either way, both seem to bring its own magic if I am honest. For example, this wedding shot in August last year, surprised us all with it's gorgeous weather, mixed with the crisp air and we had the perfect day for intimate bridal party portraits in the Australian bushland and hills that day. We only had one or 2 showers which we managed just fine. So whether you're a Summer person or a cosy Winter babe, create a day that's true to who you both are as a couple. And don't be put off by the weather either way!

A fresh winter's evening on the beach in August last year, with just a slight chill in the air, and the smell of fresh rain - I love that smell! These were the moments Shauna, this gorgeous Bride, had wished for, who is originally from Canada and all she wanted was her wedding photos to be captured on the beach. Brief nailed, mission accomplished, beautiful wedding photos created.

Trusting your wedding photographer on your wedding day, who leads you into a random field full of cow poop, for that money shot - sounds crazy, but so worth it! Like these two, they just trusted me, I had a vision and it paid off. Landscape shots with rolling hills and sky, so close that you could touch it.

So much to say about this absolutely breathtaking Perth Wedding a few weeks back with Shauna + Reuben. The rain threatened and we got lucky, working quickly to make the most of the time while it was dry. We were able to capture some sweet moments at The Jarrahdale Mills in the Perth Hills, surrounded by bushland, and green trees. The result was perfect, the perfect setting for rustic Wedding Photos that pop with colour and life.

hard to believe I’ve been home for almost a month now! missing my Aussies, the beaches, & post-dinner swims… but sooo ready for a glorious Washington summer

I think my heart will forever be a little torn between two places, and I’m ok with that. something beautiful about always having someone to miss :’)

hard to believe this trip is flying by that fast — but so excited to embrace all the final moments & memories the next couple weeks 💫 (& see you soon Washington!!)

where to even START with this one !!!!

when I moved to Australia at the ripe old age of eleven, Eb was one of my very first friends! we met at camp, and were pretty much inseparable until I went home to the US three years later. and of course, one of my earliest memories with Eb is her whispering about her (big) crush on Devon…

luckily for them, my parents & Dev’s parents were good friends, so Eb was conveniently sleeping over every time we ended up at the Bosveld’s for dinner. 🤔😉

fast forward fifteen (!!!) years, and here they are, taking family pictures in the beautiful home they’re building together by the beach. what is LIFE 🥹

such an honor to capture their evening routine in a series of images that we’ll all treasure forever. their journey to parenthood hasn’t been easy, and I could truly sense the joy & wonder & gratitude that fills their new everyday rhythms.

life is wild and wonderful and hard and beautiful. the privilege I’m given when friends (& strangers) invite me into their lives to capture these moments is never lost on me… thank you Jesus for weaving lives together in the most amazing ways!

cheers to Eb & Devon, and middle school romance that stood the test of time! so much love for y’all!
