A candle can smell incredible in the shop and disappoint when lit or be subtle unlit and fill an entire room when burning.
These are two completely different performances, and a well-made candle should deliver both.

WHY YOUR CANDLE MIGHT FEEL WEAK
A few honest reasons:

→ The room is too large for the candle size
→ The wick hasn’t been trimmed (long wick more flame, not more scent)
→ The candle hasn’t reached a full melt pool yet
→ The fragrance quality in that particular candle is low
→ Your nose has adapted — we go “NOSE BLIND” after 20–30 minutes

HOW TO GET THE MOST SCENT FROM ANY CANDLE
✂️ Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn
⏱️ Let it burn long enough to reach a full melt pool (at least 1 hour)
📐 Match candle size to room size one candle won’t fill a large open space
🔄 Rotate your candles so your nose stays fresh to the scent

As a retailer, we curate candles across brands specifically for their scent performance. When we say a candle has a moderate, room-filling throw we’ve tested it ourselves.

We’re not here to just sell you a candle. We’re here to help you find the one that actually works for your space.
Save this post and share it with someone who loves candles but has been disappointed before. 🤍
