Sarah came to America after years of DJing, producing events, and go-go dancing across Europe, looking for the wild, glamorous โ€™60s scene she had known back home. In Seattle, she discovered it didnโ€™t existโ€ฆ until she met Maxwell, who had been holding down the โ€™60s fort for over a decade, armed with a fearsome collection of original 45rpm singles and an encyclopedic knowledge of garage, soul, R&B, psych, beat, girl groups, and beyond. BOOTS! was born from their shared passion for the sound, look, spirit, and energy of the 1960s: a gung-ho preservation society disguised as a dance party. What started in Seattle has grown to include a residency in New York City and countless events across the US and beyond, from Portland and San Francisco to Paris and now the UK.
