Saw my favourite musical show again this week at @sunderland_empire . I adore The Rocky Horror Show. The film adaptation of it, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is my favourite musical film too. Always so much fun, and the music is incredible. I love the classic horror references throughout. Other favourite musicals of mine are Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd, Sunset Boulevard, Repo The Genetic Opera, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on The Roof, West Side Story, Phantom of The Opera, Doctor Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog, and Labyrinth.

🙀It could have been traumatic for Alfred, but it wasn’t! He went to the vets in his Kittyrama carrier happy as Larry…😸. The secret? He’s been using the carrier at home as a hideaway and infusing it with happy pheromones whilst napping in it… 💤😻.
Huge thanks to Alfred’s meowmy for her lovely testimonial below, and sharing these pictures with us! 💕😽

Get yours at kittyrama.com @amazon @etsy

#mignolamonday. I was rereading Wake The Devil & this sequence from issue 4 captured what I love about #mikemignola’s art
.
.
I also relish all the mythical creatures that populate his comics. #babayaga, #lamia, & #golems. Creatures moody & #haunted from the depths of the #underworld
.
.
I’m excited for #hellboycrookedman that is coming out soon. Appalachian ghost stories are the best!
.
.
At any rate, hope you survived your Monday

Galaxy Magazine (April 1959). Wally Wood cover & heavily illustrated—happy #wallywoodwednesday !!
.
.
Cover title: a full house beats togetherness
.
.
He contributed to this magazine for about 10 years. I believe this is one of about 4 covers that did
.
.
Wild to think that his legacy is buried in these. I enjoy his omnibuses & comics, but these are wonderful little nuggets floating under the radar

I’m a bit of a history buff and I finally picked up an 84 year old copy of “It Can’t Happen Here” (1939 1st thus., 1st printing) originally published in 1935. Hitler rose to power in 1933 at first denied Chancellorship of Germany despite his political party having most seats. Other events played into his eventually becoming Chancellor & civil liberties of the German people were severely limited (pics 1-2; pics 9-10)
.
.
@cheddar_comics just posted a pro-America comic from 1947 (pics 3-4)—last I saw this was available for his “I need to pay my rent” claim sale
.
.
I was startled by the 10 commandments of citizenship. Not because this is bad advice, but rather than we don’t follow these tenets in the age of social media, algorithmic silos, & opinion driven cable/streaming programming
.
.
Sinclair Lewis’ book came out 2 years after Hitler’s rise yet is very prescient of events that would ultimately unfold
.
.
I also came upon an Ebay lot of WWII era Life magazines, most between 1939-1941 & in pretty good condition for 80-84 years old. On the cover of one issue was Benito Mussolini (Sept 11, 1939). This issue was published 10 days after Germany’s invasion of Poland (pics 5-6)
.
.
These wartime articles are not unlike what we see about Ukraine & Russia overstepping its territorial boundaries. These articles are a full 28 months (nearly 2.5 years) before Pearl Harbor ultimately draws the USA into the war after standing by “neutrally” for so long
