This past Friday I had a warming of my my new space/residency Te varivari. This refers to the rich muds for growing on our Islands. And for some Islands the starting of our creation of our world. I see this as a rich fertile space for me and for all who come to to share this space and time with me. also reflects the relationship with the stream Te wai o Horotiu that runs underneath and is surely enriching the soil beneath us all. We had a intimate gathering with friends who are like whanau with of course the roots or the land, kava. If you missed out thats OK because I hope to share this space with all who can make time to visit or happen to be in the city. Think of this space as a little oasis in the city for you to stop into. ( please PM me to if you come just to see me as mahi does take me off sight too). To korero,to talanoa,to mahitahi and to catch your breath. This is surreal and great moment for me and I'm feeling very grateful for this opportunity. This has only come to me through the great relationships I've built over the last few years and people appreciating the efforts of my mahi.
