It feels so damn good to be BACK! 🥂✨

And celebrating our girl Alexis’ bday was the perfect excuse for the shenanigans to ensue! After spending so much time isolated and locked in writing my book, this weekend was exactly what I needed. Beautiful weather, a beautiful boat, my girls, nonstop laughing, singing, cutting up and living life to the absolute fullest.

Champagne was consumed, caviar bumps were taken, delicious food was eaten, and most importantly, NEW MEMORIES WERE MADE! 💃🏾🥂

August, you have been GOOD to me.

Yes, my birthday was August 6th, and yes, I’m just now getting around to making this reel. But maybe that’s the best part. I was too busy actually living my life to stop and post about it.

I spent the week surrounded by friendship, laughter and love.

Kicked off the week with my friend Jill (missing Pilar)!
I went to my Hampton University alumni picnic, spent time with my cousin Aimee before she started an exciting new chapter, and received the most beautiful flowers and words of encouragement from my cousin Clarence, who has supported me throughout my journey of writing this book.

Then came my birthday and the celebration of something I’ve dreamed about for YEARS: announcing my two book deal and Pod Wives.

And because apparently that wasn’t enough joy for one month, I hopped on a plane to Chicago and spent a few wonderful days with my girl Angela, eating, laughing, exploring and enjoying LIFE.

One of the most special moments was visiting the Obama Presidential Center. Standing there, I felt this incredible sense of magic and pride. Thinking about the history, the possibility, and what it represents made the experience so much bigger than simply visiting a place. It was one of those moments that stays with you.

Now here I am… 49. The last year of my 40s.

I’m entering this year with so much gratitude for my family, lifelong friendships, Hampton, the people who have poured into me, dreams that arrived right on time, experiences that remind me of how much is possible, and the woman I’ve become along the way.

If this is how 49 is starting, I have a feeling it’s going to be one hell of a year.

Living it first. Posting it later. And grateful for every damn bit of it.

Part 2… And, just like that, October said goodbye!

Still riding the birthday wave, hopping from LA sunshine to college tours with my baby boy (how did we get here?!), squeezing in time with friends and framily, and cheering on the amazing Dr. Leah Austin and all she’s doing @nbcdi_ because yes, representation always matters! Now more than ever. Please support always, all ways 🙏🏽

I can’t believe my nephew is 30 😩 @breesethegod. Happy bday my luv.

But the real moment? Dinner with my nieces @marissa_suarez_ and nephews all grown, thriving, and wait for it… they paid the bill! I almost shed a tear right there. Grown looks good on them. I love you @dgarcia.jr 🤎

RIP @feels_like_holmes our beautiful #campcutie sister. Diane was such a loving and kind soul. I cherish our side bars about life, struggles and healing. The sound bath @ms.meche hosted in her honor, in Ibiza, with her in the middle of the circle, will forever be imbedded in my memory. I am blessed to have known a living angel who left an imprint on my soul. Rest well, until we meet again. 🙏🏼👑🕊️

Camp Cutie Ibiza 2024 was magical! Endless gratitude to @mzhautehunter for her vision to create a safe haven for sisters united in love, truth and trust. As Summer 2023 comes to a close, I am so grateful for the time spent with family and friends from ATL to DC to Nassau to MV.
