Spent some time making crazy noises with the amazingly awesome @turnstileluvconnection guitarists Pat & @carecharmer…I was already a fan but holy shit, what a couple of truly wonderful people! Cannot wait to see what they do with the @oldbloodnoise Sunlight & Parting! Huge shoutout to my dude @fakewang for being the best and taking major care of us…I’ll see you in the ABQ!

Turnstile has become so much more than a band, what they’re doing has become a moment. They bring so many people together who look out for each other and support each other. They introduce people to the bands that influenced them while also supporting the next generation of up and coming artists.

The energy and unity and community that you see at a Turnstile show are the things that began in the smallest rooms and now have welcomed so many more people.

Turnstile is the gateway drug for many people to begin a deep dive into hardcore and underground music that they would otherwise not know existed.

This is the type of band that comes from the scene all the way to the Grammys and SNL and still feeds and grows the world that it came from.

It’s not selling out, it’s using the biggest platforms possible to grow the ecosystem that allowed them to exist in the first place.

Kids are going to DIY venues to see bands they’ve discovered through Turnstile and no matter how big their stages get, the trickle down is so good for independent venues, small bands, and the communities that they exist in.

This is exactly how a band can be the biggest band in the world without forgetting their roots and without forgetting to give a shit about the future of those roots.

It was and always will be worth the drive or flight to see this band when they’re not in Dallas.
