falls creek. what an incredibly special place. i got to go back for my beautiful friend amy’s hens, with a wonderful group of women and jake, to celebrate her in one of her favourite places. if you’ve never been, it’s one of my favourite places in australia to ski. so much of the village is ski in, ski out. snow dependent, obviously. we are still in australia. but i love it just as much in spring and summer. the mountains, the trees, the fresh air and the lovely people. a weekend up there somehow feels like you’ve been away for a week. i even have a particular tree along the aqueduct that i hug when i visit. yes, a designated tree. we go back a while. and 2am walks are a regular occurrence. there’s something about the place that makes me breathe a little deeper and properly switch off. i honestly can’t recommend it enough. and this time the weather absolutely turned it on. we were able to set the tables up outside and dance in the street under the snow gums, surrounded by the mountains and australian bush. a pretty bloody special way to celebrate our girl and her upcoming big day. a massive thank you to bron and james at attunga and jake at elk for bringing it all together. attunga is a beautiful lodge with this big, welcoming space where you can settle in with a cup of tea and stare out at the mountains. the views at sunrise and sunset are something else. and elk, with its beautiful rooms and hot tubs that we were lucky enough to have access to for the weekend. sitting in a hot tub looking out at the australian bush is a fairly excellent way to spend an afternoon. thank you all for helping make it such a special weekend for amy and all of us. here’s a little collection of my favourite moments from the weekend. beautiful people, a very happy bride to be and absolutely no restraint when it came to sequins and fur 🤍

We’ll start at historic Cope Hut, follow the Wallace Heritage Trail through alpine meadows and snow gums, then settle in at Wallace’s Hut, the oldest cattleman’s hut in the Victorian High Country, for a picnic and sketch session. 📅 Saturday 7 November 📍 Meet 10:30am, Cope Hut & Bogong Rover Chalet car park 🥾 6.5km loop, easy to moderate, back by 1:30pm 🎒 Hiking shoes, water, snacks, warm layers, sunscreen and a hat No sketching experience needed and light refreshments are provided. Yeah the ladies!! This year we are stoked to have @santacruzbicycles supporting our Ignition Women’s Ride happening 2:00pm Saturday 5th December. This ride is open to all women ticket holders attending Ignition MTB Festival and is open to all skill levels. It’s all about hanging out and riding together in a zero stress environment. We will have a special women’s only shuttle running for the ride and create groupings to suit skill levels where needed. The ride finishes in the event village ready for Espresso Martini Happy Hour 😉 🍸 All you need to do is purchase your event ticket and then register for the women’s ride on our website or via the link in our Instagram profile. All that’s left is to then turn up in the event village before 2:00pm ready to ride!
