This was some great experience to have getting a chance last semester to do some video/photo work for a Fashion Show! Makes me really happy that I joined @fame.ttu , and I hope to do some more cool fashion related stuff in the near future. Also this is just the behind the scenes photos of the @hi_techfashion show, stay tuned to see the actual show.

Today’s #CoMCSpotlight is Kaleigh “Kale” Hess-Davila!

An Advertising major with a certificate in Sports Media, Kaleigh is from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and has made the most of her time in the College of Media & Communication.

Kaleigh didn’t start in advertising; she originally majored in marketing. After an advisor asked what she truly loved about the field, she realized it was the creativity and people-centered work. That led her to CoMC. Transferring to Tech was a big moment, but finding CoMC made everything click. “I was very excited to be in a college that celebrated its students and let me focus on what I wanted,” Kaleigh says.

Some of her favorite Tech memories come from sporting events; the energy, traditions, and excitement of game days.

Academically, she highlights RaiderComm as one of her most impactful experiences. “This course gave me hands-on experience and so much confidence,” she says. She also credits mentors like Dr. Davis, Professor Ramsey, and Professor Buckle for helping her thrive at CoMC.

CoMC has played a major role in her success. Through opportunities like serving as a Dean’s Student Ambassador and getting involved with RaiderComm, FAME, and PRSSA, she has strengthened her professionalism and confidence.

Looking ahead, Kaleigh hopes to return to Pennsylvania, be surrounded by pets, and continue her work with Discover Lehigh Valley.

“I have truly been changed for good by attending Texas Tech,” she says. “Coming from a family who never went through the traditional college path, I’m so grateful I got to share this experience with them.”
