POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As a small business owner and shopkeeper I get to meet a lot of wonderful humans; one being @fancyredlion This project started as a commissioned mat artwork and custom frame job and has blossomed into a wonderful friendship. I included few selfies of us at the end as proof of our friendship as well as proof that I occasionally can stand still enough long enough to capture a decent image! 😅

June receipts. Two days late. Couple bucks short.

Museum days. Art friends. Two workshops. Blind contours. One exhibit. One retirement. New toys. One very sleepy studio assistant.

Total receipts: got my money’s worth.
Last photo: itemized damage. 🤑💅

Still feeling this.✨ The reception for The Big Picture was everything I hoped it would be—the kind of creative energy and connection that reminds me why art has remained such a constant in my life.

What I love most about being part of an art community is that the artwork is only part of the story. The friendships, encouragement, collaboration, and occasional excuse to wear impractical shoes matter just as much.

Thank you to Jerry Cooper for bringing this group together, to Theo’s for hosting us, and to everyone who came out to support local artists.

The show remains on view through July, so there’s still plenty of time to see it in person. If you’re following from afar, I’ll be sharing more of the work here—including a few pieces that haven’t gotten nearly as much attention as the blind contours.

And if you haven’t already, check out the other artists from the show—there’s incredible talent in this group.

P.S. My feet eventually forgave me.
Life is short—wear the shoes, enjoy the art. 🎨 👠 🙌
