POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This year we've been working on a special project to capture the fruit of church unity. We are so excited to share it with you soon!

As believers from different churches come together to write and worship, something unexpected begins to happen—relationships are formed, barriers are broken, and songs become instruments of transformation.

This is a story about what God can do when His people choose unity over division.

“You can’t just like it or love it — you have to live it.” Coach Lennie Acuff said that at Samford, and honestly, it summed up our whole summer.

About last weekend…

The Worship Cooperative Songwriting Retreat is a time when worship leaders and songwriters from across regions come together for three days of worship, teaching, and collaborative songwriting.

This retreat is designed to refresh and equip you to write songs for your local church, while building meaningful connections with others who share the same heart for the Church.

What a weekend.

We gathered in Puerto Rico and got to witness the fruit of church unity firsthand.

10 different churches represented at our worship and prayer gathering.

8 new songs crafted together on Saturday.

And friendships cultivated through shared meals, stories, songs, tears, and laughter.

This is what happens when we choose to gather across church lines, make room for one another, and create together.

Songs were written. Prayers were prayed. Stories were shared. Friendships deepened.

And we believe this is still only the beginning.

Our GVL team left Puerto Rico grateful for what God is doing and expectant for what comes next. (And stocked up on amazing local coffee)

Last March, something beautiful began in Puerto Rico.

Worship leaders from across the region gathered to write songs, worship, pray, and build relationships—and we watched God begin knitting together a community that is continuing to grow.

Now we’re back in Puerto Rico, grateful to keep building on what began.

Tonight, local worship leaders from across the island will come together for a night of worship and prayer. Tomorrow, we’ll gather again to write songs together, share lunch, and continue strengthening the relationships that make this community possible.

We’re also finishing the documentary we began in March, capturing the stories and the fruit of what God has been doing through this growing community.

We’re deeply grateful for every person who has helped make this possible—and for the God who keeps bringing people together.

Would you pray with us?

Pray for God’s presence tonight.
Pray for creativity and connection tomorrow.
Pray for health, wisdom, and safe travel for our team.
And pray that what God is building in Puerto Rico would continue to grow into something lasting.

One Prayer. One Heart. One Bride.
One Word. One Song. One Cry.
