Happy to announce the second edition of Little Getdown! Organized by @genetellem, @bain_de_soleilll and I, the jam curated for little ears is returning to @_parquette for a final hurrah at this very special place, so dearly loved by the community, families included. Join us once again, or for the first time, for a laid-back session of music specially curated for little ones to get their sillies out, wander, or simply rest. Alongside the music, we’ll have a Halloween costume swap, pop-ups by @petitclown.mtl and @shophelloharlow, and a selection of second-hand clothing from @cachecache.mileend and @mata.ne_vintage . We’re also happy to welcome @le.local.familial back with us for some creative play and movement activities! @_milk_made_ will be taking care of the treats, while @fanny__jane installations and visuals will set the scene.

POWER HOUSE LP IS OUT It’s been 4 years but it feels like 2 seconds… but also 10 years so idk what that’s about. Fuck, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t the most proud and scared I’ve ever felt in my life (so far). The music, the clothes, the photos, the visual world for this record is something I can truly say I am the MOST proud of. The people I had the opportunity to work with made me a stronger, smarter and overall DOPER artist and shit… I’ll say it… person. POWER HOUSE is a record I hope you listen to and come out the other end feeling like you are the strongest person because you are, we all are. No matter how stupid and frustrating we can all be I hold the belief that contradiction does not beget moral failing. it is simply a quality of being a human. And if we can exist here together knowing we can be the worst people on earth doing the shittiest things we can also be the best people on earth, creating a safe place to exist for ALL of us. I want you to listen to the music and feel every ounce of energy that you have (which is unlimited btw) and remeber you don’t have to take shit just because.. you can do literally wtvr**** the fuck YOU WANT BITCH. SO DO IT. Produced by @funky.what & myself Mixed @vvvvalentin Master @heba_kadry CREDITS: @samaether prod/co-prod on (so smart, thank you) live drums (workout, welcome home), @no.cosmos on trumpet (welcome home, workout), @lightitupav_ add. As a new parent, I’ve been wishing for more spaces where I can enjoy music and spend time with friends without having to choose between what works for me and what works for my baby. Little Getdown grew from that desire. With my wonderful collaborators and fellow new moms @bain_de_soleilll and @genetellem, we created an afternoon curated for little ears, big ears, and everyone in between. Join us on July 12 @_parquette for a laid-back afternoon of music, where the soundtrack will be thoughtfully selected to create a space where small and big people can move, wander, gather, dance, or simply rest. We’ll have activities for little ones by @le.local.familial , food and snacks by @_milk_made_ (including bites for babies), flowers by @_earthling_botanical_ , playful installations and a photobooth by @fanny__jane . A $10 contribution is suggested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
