RareBlaq, the album from uBeyond. Out today.

Huge congratulations to uBeyond on RareBlaq.

Bringing together such I big and amazing group of artists is no easy task. And making their individual creativity work together in practice, in service of a shared vision, is something really special.

uBeyond has been part of the AmaGroove world since 2024, first as a participant, then as a facilitator.

The credits read like an AmaGroove reunion: Muneyi, Una Rams, Umzulu Phaqa, Fanny Wree.

Furthermore Born Kxng and Luigi Anywhere, have collaborated with Mark Fosnæs in One Groove projects AmaGroove New Ground and Copenhagen - Joburg.

This is what we love about the network: it keeps creating new connections, new collaborations and new music long after the camp is over.

One of South Africa’s most electrifying voices: Umzulu Phaqa’s debut album VOLUME 1 is out July 24 on Gallo Records.

One of its songs carries a story we’re proud of. On top of being an extraordinary artist, Umzulu Phaqa is also AmaGroove family — an alumna of the 2025 camp. And the song found its way home through that family: uBeyond (alumni of AmaGroove 2024) returned as facilitator at our Sync Residency in January 2026. There he met Danish producer Fanny Wree and played her a demo from Umzulu’s sessions. Fanny developed the production in Denmark.

The result: “Ngithunyiwe” — Umzulu Phaqa feat. Ovuyonke, produced by uBeyond & Fanny Wree.

With it, Fanny becomes what we believe is the first Danish artist on Gallo Records, Africa’s oldest surviving label, home to Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masekela — in the label’s centenary year. 🇿🇦🇩🇰

And this year at AmaGroove 2026, Fanny and Umzulu finally met — after the song already existed.
