November’s here (well nearly), it’s soaking outside, and we got the heating on in more ways than one. DJs are back upstairs, Hip Joint Jazz is in full swing, and the basement’s loaded with club nights and live gigs to keep spirits high and glasses full. Expect Chefal on the wobble, Silkie and DJ Perception bringing the bass, grounded back twistin heads, plus Seymour & The Misses and The Jesse Doniach Trio keepig’ it live and loose. And don’t forget the Weekly Pub Quiz part brains, part blind luck, all pint-fuelled ‘debates’.

Get booked in and get stuck innnnnnnnnnn

Big pub bonanza season is back. Crash. Bang. Wallop!

Temperatures have dropped, and so have our prices, £4 pints, £6 margs, and a packet of scampi fries, we know how to treat you. The score is, pints, pizza, and enough DJs up top to request your cheesiest, worst of the worst tracks and get rejected in front of all your mates every Friday and Saturday. Cram it all in until your silly, boring New Year’s resolution affirmations kick in. Regret it never.

Anyway, the sun’s bailed on us, Dorothy, we’re not in summer anymore. Jackets on, jackets off, cosy corners to chinwag, spilling drinks, “’round on me,” “you owe me one,” nightlight buses home, it’s what we live for, ain’t it? Do it over and over until your heart and headache’s content.

Doors wide open. 4pm on Fridays, 12pm on Saturdays. Come in looking like a prime socialite, leave looking like a bone-idle Flintstone. Yabadabadooooo!

See you on the paisley-patterned seats or on the hardwood, whatever your tipple.

Collected some thoughts about Manual Smiles and much more for @inflyteapp ahead of @_rowant_ ‘s excellent new EP on the label (check it out if you haven’t yet, it’s absolutely mega good!!) 💭

A massive thanks to Kyle for chatting to me about what we’re doing - it’s been a loooot of fun running the label, honoured to be working with so many talented souls and seeing all the support for their hard work over our near two-years - so much more to come I can’t wait to talk about! 🙂‍↕️

Big shout out to the team @good_bad_type @thebakehousestudiouk @epmmusic @dispersion_pr for making it all work, too 💕

Alright, sun’s out (not that you’d know from the basement, just kiddingggg), plus we’ve got another belter of a week lined up at The Greyhound. If you needed an excuse to avoid responsibility, consider this your official get-out-of-jail-free card.

Wednesday, we’re limbering up the brain cells for Pub Quiz with Lee Underscore — you know the score, passionate debates over completely useless knowledge, and plenty of spillage due to sheer quiz-related agony.

Friday, Englands back, footie on the screen then heading downstairs for Running Barking Dogs — live tunes, big energy, and absolutely no concept of daylight. Then Saturday, it’s Lily London’s final Pubstep set upstairs, so you know it’s going off. Meanwhile, Basic Function x Fantasy Trax are running things in the basement, keeping the beats rolling ‘til you forget what time it is (or where your jacket went).

And then Sunday, Break With Me rounds things off with smooth grooves and low-key vibes. Ideal for settling in, sipping something strong, and delaying the Sunday scaries for as long as possible. Beers cold, tunes loud, and there’s always room for one more.

See you at the bar. 🍻

Well there you have it spring has sprung and March is clean down The Greyhound! Stacked lineups that’ll keep the pints flowing and the good times rolling. We’ve got top-tier stand-up, banging live sets, and enough entertainment to make “just one drink” a proper challenge.

Big nights incoming: Velocity Press is in the house for a deep dive into music and culture, Nowt Resident Curates is serving up a night of serious sound selections, and Dash the Henge with Uncle Daddy is bringing the sort of energy that’ll have your feet moving before your brain’s even caught up.

Bar’s stocked, and the vibes are high. Get down, get involved, and don’t be surprised if you end up staying till the end of the night.
