4 days on the Rio Grande in Boquillas Canyon. Ladies river trip with @farwesttexasoutfitters. Perfect weather, no one else on the river, enough paddling to sleep well at night, hikes in a gorgeous slot canyon, no cell service, and the food… Paella in the backcountry! Grateful for low key friends who are up for this kind of adventure. And 2 amazing guides. Best river trip I’ve been on.

We are feeling grateful to @elcosmicomarfa , @thelizlambert and @monkeybernstein for creating so many opportunities for local musicians to perform! Also proud of the performances that were put on by our local players! All were world class shows. The level of talent that has blossomed in this area in the last few years is making us wonder if we have a budding music town on our hands .....which is fine by us! The local acts that played this year's #transpecosfestival were:
1) the Grand Tourists 2) @marijuanasweettooth 3) the exploding star orchestra w/ @androidlovecry (who we forgot to promote last week cuz I didn't realize it was the group Rob was playin in - sorry Rob!). 4) #scrappyjudnewcomb and #franchristina 5) @rosscashiola and 6) Loviband . I was also excited to see some of our friends new businesses starting to take off. Our friends serving drinks and food were generally some if the coolest folks at the festival and got the drinks to us cold and the food hot! And then there were our beloved #YonkeGallos who played a great game and put on a great fight despite batting against junk ball garbage master "Sloppy Jack" ( @designbuildadventure ). Sorry if I forgot to tag or mention anyone - my editor is #potato. Thanks to everyone who came out support the local talent and enjoy the festival! Cheers!
