We set them a real design challenge. They blew us away. 💛

Yesterday we had the absolute joy of spending Design Day at Farlingaye High School, the very department Lucy used to teach in, talking to Year 8 students about Loop & Lift, and how a real-world problem became a real-world product.

Then we handed it over to them. Their brief: design an insulin pump carrier for a child who's just been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Functional. Comfortable. And something they'd actually want to wear.

What they came up with honestly amazed us, carriers covered in wildlife, ice-cream prints, sports designs, rainbows; clever details like waterproof fabrics, secure zips and adjustable straps; and so much thought about how that child would feel.

But the part that stayed with us? Their notes at the end:

✏️ "I think it's a brilliant idea."
✏️ "How much these pouches can help sick people and change their life."
✏️ "What you are doing is truly inspirational."

Design isn't just about objects. It's about people, and watching this generation already understand that, gave us so much hope.

Thank you to the staff and students at Farlingaye for having us. We can't wait to share the winning design soon… 👀

Function and beauty, together. Care carried your way.
