We grow enough food to feed every person on the planet, yet 1/3rd of it goes to waste.
We’re here to change that.
500 million meals and counting.

Kinda chic to rescue food. 🫑✨ Thanks to our friends at the Farm Link Project, 29,000 pounds of fresh peppers recently made their way to Second Harvest instead of going to waste. That’s 29,000 pounds of good, fresh produce that can now move through our network of local food pantries and meal programs across northwest Pennsylvania. We love seeing what’s possible when farms, food banks and community partners work together to keep good food moving. Thanks, Farm Link, for helping make food rescue kinda chic. 🧡 #NWPAFoodBank #FoodBank #FoodRescue

💚 12,590 Pounds of Fresh Food FREE for Our Community! @musicchanginglives received 742 cases of fresh produce, including blueberries, squash, spring mix, celery, broccoli, plums, and guava, with an estimated retail value of more than $32,000‼️ Thank you to Food Dorward, The Farmlink Project, the crew in the Pit Stop Warehouse, my drivers MANNnnnnnn our Heal Dena partners, @mbcaltadena @soulsavingproductionsorg @prosperity.market @uclacollegecorps and every volunteer who helped make this possible. This is not a race thing. It is a human thing. In the words of Michael Jackson on his very special day, “It doesn’t matter who’s wrong or right.” What matters is whether we are willing to show up for one another when help is needed. And as we enter 20th month of service we’re honored to be in service to our people. This work continues to prove that when artists and grassroots organizations receive the right resources, we are among the strongest second responders a community can have. We lead with creativity, compassion, love, and unity, and most of us stay long after the headlines disappear. But free food is not free to distribute. Transportation, refrigeration, storage, supplies, and staffing all require resources. We need: 💚 21 supporters giving $50 per month 💚 50 supporters giving $21 per month 💚 Businesses to sponsor transportation and storage 💚 Volunteers for our next distribution 📅 September 25 — Setup and preparation 📅 September 26 — Community distribution Help us keep fresh, healthy food free for our community. Donate, volunteer, or become a monthly supporter through the link in our bio. Because serving humanity is bigger than race, politics, or differences. It is about love. Happy Birthday, Michael Jackson. Your message still lives through the work. #foodforthepeople #healdena #MusicChangingLives #ArtistsInService #MichaelJackson

Testimony!! No truck clean out within 30 miles of @feedbhm Bessemer and the one available was in the wrong direction of where Kia, the driver of the truckload of blueberries 🫐, was headed next. Well the hub got blessed with a new pressure washer on Friday afternoon and in classic GKC style we let Kia break it in for the first time! She was beyond grateful and so were we! Look at God’s timing!! 🙌🙌 Prior to Kia arriving, the dispatcher calls Josh and puts us all on a 3-way call. The dispatcher had given Kia some wrong directions for arriving to the hub. She was very frustrated. Josh took over from the dispatcher and started guiding her by what she saw. She made it to the hub safely. We laughed and had a good time once she was finally there. Thank you Jesus for giving us Joy! Thank you Jesus for giving us blueberries. 🫐 Thank you Jesus for Kia’s patience. Thank you Jesus for the new pressure washer. Thank you Jesus for the love You give us so we can give it to others. Today you will have an opportunity to show up for someone who needs the love you carry. You will have an opportunity to share a resource and a positive attitude. Do it!! We love you Kia! Thank you to @farmlinkproject for connecting us to awesomeness. We are ready for the next load. 😊 PS. Blueberries 🫐 for all on Monday at FeedBHM Clay, FeedBHM Pelham, and Liberty Church Birmingham. Be ready!! #feedbhm #foodrescue #fillplatesnotlandfills #gratitude #loveservesharerepeat

📰 News we love: One of our 2026 Keeling Curve Prize winners, the @farmlinkproject, was recently highlighted in @laistofficial for their massive impact on food rescue and climate action. Co-founded by Aidan Reilly during the pandemic, the nonprofit now rescues 5 million pounds of fresh produce weekly across all 50 states. By diverting this food from landfills, they prevent significant methane emissions while feeding communities facing hunger — a perfect example of dual-benefit climate solutions. The recent feature details how their $50,000 KCP prize is helping fund their team and trucks to move an additional, estimated 500,000 pounds of fresh produce per week. 🔗 Read the full story here: at the link in our bio! Congratulations again, to the team at The Farmlink Project! 🚜💚 #KeelingCurvePrize #ClimateAction #FoodRescue #KCP2026
