Still thinking about what a fun DC Half weekend it was 🥹🏃‍♀️ It’s one of my favorite local races that energizes the entire community. There’s something really special about running a race in your own city and constantly spotting familiar faces, including the most amazing @everypersonrunclub cheer station!

The half marathon was the pinnacle of events leading up to race day. From representing EPRC at the run leaders event hosted by @runpacers to seeing Nobody Asked Us with Des & Kara live with Kara Goucher, Des Linden, and 2012 Olympian @jeculley2012, the whole weekend was a celebration of running and the people who make this community so special.

Grateful for this community and all the miles, friendships, and memories that come with it. 💛 A major thank you to @dchalfmarathon, @brooksrunning, and @everypersonrunclub for making this year’s half so special.

Every run club in DC trains together. Races together? Not really. Until August 14th.

The District Ekiden is 4 legs, 2-4 runners, one tasuki and it was designed from the beginning for run clubs and crews who have been running side by side for years but never had a race that put all of that on the line together.

This is not a race where you show up, pin your bib, run your race, and go home. This is a race where you stand at the exchange zone watching your teammate come in and you know: the next leg is yours. Every second they earned is yours to protect. Every second you earn is theirs to carry.

That’s Ekiden. That’s wa.

We’ve seen what DC’s run community looks like on a Saturday morning. We’ve seen your clubs show up for each other week after week. We’ve watched this city build one of the deepest, most devoted running communities in the country.

Now we want to see you race together.

100 teams. 2-4 runners each. The District Ekiden, in partnership with @asics is still open for registration 🔗 in bio!!

Your club. Your tasuki. Your race. #Foreveryrun #dcrunning #pacersrunning #runraces

Here’s the Recap from Global Run Day, and if you run in DC this one’s for you. 🌍

We’ve watched this city run through every season, every inch of the Mall, every hill in Rock Creek, every bridge on the Potomac. And honestly? DC runners don’t need a designated day to show out. But we’re glad there’s one anyway.

Monday we made it count Pacers x Hoka at Aslin Brewing with a tropical hat 🌺#foreveryrun

Came for the miles. Stayed because you belong here.

📍 Aslin Brewing · 1740 14th St NW · Washington DC.

We were confused if our team name was Pace Cadets or CIA (Chaffers International Association). However, what we really knew was how to run well and have fun!
Couldn’t have asked for a better race weekend with the crew at @racetheperimeter and exploring lots of places in DC! Doing the race relay style was quite the amazing experience.

Thank you @jessrhood and volunteers for organizing!

Farrin Saba, went from being a Division I athlete… to sitting in a wheelchair.

For a while, she lost more than sport. She lost her identity.

But that was not the end of her story.

Years later, she found her way back through triathlon… and started doing a little “medal damage” again.

That is what this sport can do. It gives you a way back.

Are you ready to do some medal damage? Drop a 🏅in the chat to kick off your medal season!!!!
