GOLD + SILVER
This is definitely my favourite photo of the @australianmastersathletics National Championships. Not only does it capture 2 @mastershpcoaching athletes on competing teams both winning medals - but it highlights the comraderie and spirit of masters sport.

Online coaching… real team.

Some of the @mastershpcoaching crew catching up at the @australianmastersathletics National Championships.

Our athletes train with us from all over Australia, so major competitions are our chance to catch up in person and share the experience together.

HUGE PB ALERT - Well done @faster_beyond_40

@reshare_app • @faster_beyond_40
Thanks once again @vics_stable_stars for the footage. Great giving the young kids a run for their money. All my competitors in this race could have been my sons. Put down a bald time for the 100m and got into a really fast heat and ran a new PB of 11.84 +1.4 in for 4th place in a race where 8 out of the 10 athletes broke 12. I had spent the best part of 7 years chasing that time and now run under it quite consistently. Returned for the 200 an hour later and drew lane 2. Was hoping for a 23 high as had already done it in Canberra but it wasn’t to be but 24.14 +1.2 for 5th from lane 2 isn’t a bad result. A bit of fatigue from the 100 shows that I need to work on that last 50 a bit more but consistent 24.1s in legal conditions shows me that 23s are around the corner.

RECORD ALERT!

Huge congratulations to @faster_beyond_40 who broke the Queensland 100yards M40 record.

@reshare_app • @faster_beyond_40 Great morning at the track, managed to get my first ever QLD record today in the 100 yards. Broke a 9 year old record by just 0.01 in 10.83 +1.1. 60m first in 7.63 into a strong -2.2 headwind.
Also did some long jump for fun for the first time in over 5 years and did a 5.36m safety jump behind the board. Did two more harder ones but fouled but would have been close to 6m. Did the 200m but was feeling taxed from the mostly still and humid conditions and still cruised a wind legal PB of 24.11 +1.1. Thank to my partner and number 1 supporter @crystal_sun_shine for coming down and cheering me on plus the footage. Back to the shield meets next weekend to take on the opens and drop a few 23 mid 200s and 11.6 100s.

400m GOLD - Well done @faster_beyond_40

@faster_beyond_40: Day 3 and you’re looking at your Australian masters games 400m champion to finish off the championships. Ended up with 3 silver and 1 gold for the 400m in 53.81 in tough conditions with a strong headwind on the back straight. Thanks @loumc.1 for the footage and was also good to race @on_track_to_40 again who helped me with that sub 24 200 yesterday. Look forward to coming back down in March for Nationals.
