The tradition lives on. Another year around the sun and grateful to all. They are distance runners not singers. How many other coaches get happy birthday sung to them with such enthusiasm??? 😂All I asked for was to run hard the rest of the season. #xcrunning #crosscountry #crosscountryrunning @fastfeettiming

MILES MADE YOU. 💯
Resilience. Perseverance. You overcame adversity. Your mental toughness and GRIT
showed more and more everyday. Discipline. You continued to put in the reps. You pushed through some of the HOTTEST days of the year. Early mornings and late nights. The growth that I witnessed this season was so much bigger than any medal. I watched you fall in love with the process. I watched you give it your all. Yes, there were a few rough races, and I watched you get upset, but you walked away with lessons, not just disappointment. Your mindset is what sets you apart. You adjusted your strategy. You got ready for the next race. You had SO many miles of effort, and SO many moments of glory. Watching you conquer every hill and milestone this season has been such a joy. Thank you for giving it your all. Thanks to your amazing coaches that never gave up on you. They saw what you were capable of and continued to work with you. XC runners choose the pain. The discomfort. The exhaustion. The mental battles. And they keep waking up and doing it all over again. Ready to race another race. Ready to take on another hard course.
Congratulations on an AMAZING season of both Rec. Department XC and your first year of Middle School XC. Congratulations on 7 TOP 10 placements. You KILLED IT. I am SO very proud of you, all of your accomplishments and every PR you achieved. There is no “off season” in your eyes, so keep working hard and grinding girlfriend. Be ready for the next season and the next race. Stay consistent. Hold on tight to these forever friendships and memories. Always keep your FAITH. You have SO many people that are so proud! 🥹 🙏💪🏻🚾🏃‍♀️
I know you’re ready for next XC season, and I am too. Until then… it’s BASKETBALL SZN! 💪🏻🙏🚾🏀 @wcms_warriors @wcparksrec

Thanks to my wife for getting picture of the day. Some images of our middle schoolers and future high school runners. Missed a few at the front and was handing out medals in the girls race so she couldn’t take pictures. #runners #xcrunning #2miles #gopatriots @oglethorpecounty_athletic_bc @fastfeettiming @fleetfeetathens.oconee @oglethorpe_echo

From the start to senior recognition it was a good day. It was great to see the kids, their families, friends, and even strangers cheering the runners on. Boys came in 🥇 and girls 🥈. Thank you to all the parents, staff, visiting coaches and teams for making our first 5K and middle school race memorable on one tough course. #5k #xc #xcrunning #xcracing #goparriots @oglethorpecounty_athletic_bc @oglethorpe_echo @fleetfeetathens.oconee @fastfeettiming
