🦚 Peacock for Pole Playhouse @victoriaeventcentre @victoria.burlesque 🦚

Love this costume and how fun it is to play around with it!
Should I add some peacock feathers to it? 🤔

I keep apologizing for the tipping act getting longer but "don't worry, I won't use the whole 8/10/12 minutes" but clearly I still haven't grown out of my "running around naked" phase and well, you're welcome. Sorry, not sorry.

Thanks @thegradytwins for always making sure I'm dressed correctly and taking on videographer duties when I say so. Right hand babe, right there.

rejection letters. I get them frequently. I find it interesting that in my ‘real’ life the art that I like ..a LOT of people don’t like ., the makeups I love ,, people don’t love ,, the pieces that I create that I absolutely love .. maybe don’t resonate the same way. My favourite things do not align with the big numbers. It doesn’t mean it’s not good. Wouldn’t be the first time I was considered subversive. I know I’m not the most approachable. I may even not be relatable at times. When you get to know me.. I’m not so bad. I second guess a little bit but once I commit , I won’t flinch. Where your toes don’t quite touch the bottom .. (thanks Bowie) that’s the spot. This is from my favourite piece. Which has been rejected many , many times now. Thank you to @halenaloupresents for letting me do this for Justice Laid bare. I’m proud of this number.. Stranger Than Kindness. Where I end up just shy of completely naked. Originally I wanted to be fully naked. That will happen in the future.. but it’s dependent on location and show. I think it means something. And I stand by it this piece. So don’t worry too much about winning. Winning is cool ! Congrats to those who do! But you can still do what you want to do. When it comes from truth .. somewhere.. someone will remember you. If it’s in truth , it matters. It may not be popular. In fact, it most likely won’t. But somewhere.. someone thinks of that moment years from now and that is fucking powerful.

So stand tall.. decide what kind of artist you want to be. No right or wrong..,stand in your truth . I compromise in my work.. I don’t have to in my passion. Speaking of that., working on a piece that if I do it right., some of you will be sobbing. You’re welcome! I’m great at parties.

And maybe I’ll share some more pics from this performance.

Ps: shoutout to @fataleproduction for letting me perform this in Victoria. I owe you . You always gave me a chance.
