I actually cant stop torturing my husband whenever he needs a haircut 😂

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Kelly Hawkins. I am a NYC hairstylist with 17 years behind the chair.

Another proud member of the theater kid → hairstylist → content creator pipeline. I started taking content seriously about 2.5 years ago, and it completely changed the game for me.

I do a little bit of everything, but I’m known for transformations, razor cuts, and lived-in vivids. I don’t have a “favorite” service…. doing the same thing on everyone sounds like a nightmare.

I’ve been an educator my entire career. I live for the aha moment, and I’m not afraid of the conversations that come with growth, even the uncomfortable ones. I’ll always say what I mean and mean what I say.

If you made it this far, thank you. Seriously. Being this close to 40K and having a community that actually engages, learns, and cares? That’s not lost on me.

Yes, I cut my husband’s hair on my day off. I personally enjoy looking at a haircut I am proud of every day rather than one I had to phone in…. And for me that means working on a day I took off 🤷🏼‍♀️ sorry Kelly lol

I even have a full consultation with him even though we live together. We dont talk about hair when were home so its important!!

Really want to hate on 2025 since it took one of my favorite cats from me. But, after looking through my camera I see a lot of joy, growth and fun 2025 had.

It was mostly a chill year. We didnt travel as much as we usually do which was really nice to have all that extra time with our meows.

I am grateful to be surrounded by truly magical people in all areas of my life. I dont take any minute with them for granted. If youre in these pics, thank you. And if not, go fuck yourself KIDDING lol there are only so many you can squeeze into a post. And there were so many great times not captured on camera! 💕

My audience here grew by a lot (25k!) and I am really grateful for this platform. One of my main goals for 2026 is to not only grow but to nurture the audience I have. To add more value, education, humor and cat pics for you all. Thank you for being here and supporting me.

I am grateful for the lessons and direction 2025 brought me but really happy it’s over. Even if my favorite time of year is done.

I hope this year brings you peace and I will see you around 💕

I can promise three things when I do my husbands hair: Im going to record it, Im going to have a thorough consultation even if I am being roasted and I am going to test new products when I have them.

The thing is: when I have family in my chair I still have my hairstylist hat on and its turned up all the way. Im probably going to try something new on a close friend or family before I test something on a client.

I also want to do an amazing job on EVERYONE in my chair… especially the person I wake up to every day.

So much so that their jokes are going to SOAR over my head until I edit 🤣 Did you guys catch the extra hair joke?

What do you think? Family gets special treatment or no?

This is totallly random but I have wanted one if these since we got one for our father-in-law for Christmas. So doing this collab was a no brainer! What should I surprise him with next?

Everyone wants a hairstylist in their family until they realize that they get cut at our convenience. And sometimes that means at the end of a busy week when we’re really tired and just ready to go out.

But even so that doesn’t mean that I don’t have a real consultation with my husband. We don’t talk about Hair outside of the salon.

Plus, I have to look at it every day so I’m gonna make sure that I get a good job done!
