As the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, through the Office of the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, FSI, @hm_womenaffairs brings the Rescued Chibok Girls’ Support Programme to a close, we @MBNCWD commend the courage, compassion and political will demonstrated by the Federal Government in ensuring that the narrative of rescued Chibok girls is no longer frozen in tragic trauma but evolved into a celebration of survivors resilience and a fresh page of new beginnings.

We are withesses; for every horror they experienced, they have overcome through the invested support structures designed to rebuild their lives, pursue opportunities and embrace a future filled with possibilities.

Genuine appreciations by the girls and their families were openly expressed to the Honourable Minister for her leadership, compassion and unwavering commitment to restoring dignity, opportunity and hope to the rescued Chibok girls.

We also acknowledge the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women Affairs, Hajiya Fatima Farouk, @sapresidentwa whose presence, words and encouragement continue to remind these young women that their story is far greater than what happened to them.

To the remarkable women, partners, stakeholders, facilitators and everyone who has contributed to this journey, thank you for standing with these girls, investing in their future and believing in their potential.

And to our dear Chibok girls, this moment is yours. ❤️

You are no longer defined by the tragedy that brought your names to the world.

You are graduates.
You are skilled women.
You are entrepreneurs.
You are mothers.
You are leaders.
You are women with dreams still unfolding and futures waiting to be written.

From captivity to capability.
From survival to strength.
