I’ve always been someone who’s incredibly selective and specific about the things I use. I love beautiful products, beautiful packaging, incredible ingredients - but for me, luxury has never just been about how something looks. It’s the whole experience. How it feels, what’s inside, how it was made, and if I actually want to use it every day. To me, the greatest luxury has never been an object. It’s our health. I felt like something was missing in beauty. “Clean beauty” started to feel like it didn’t mean very much anymore. I wanted to go back to something much more simple and intentional: ingredients I could recognize, understand, and genuinely feel good about putting on my body. Ingredients drawn from the earth and its animals. We spend so much time thinking about what we eat and what we put into our bodies. But we don’t always think about everything we’re putting on them all day long. Especially our lips. I’ve always thought of the lips as this incredibly intimate part of beauty. We’re constantly touching them, reapplying products to them, eating, drinking, kissing… so why shouldn’t what we put there be something we feel really good about? I also never wanted “better ingredients” to mean giving up the things I love about luxury. I want the beautiful packaging. I want the sensorial experience. I want to feel excited when I reach for something. No compromise on what’s inside. I wanted getting ready to feel good. Like a ritual you look forward to, not something that feels like a trade-off between looking beautiful and taking care of yourself. That’s really where @faunaskin came from. Medicinal beauty, made to look like makeup, but designed to work like a treatment. Seed-oil free. Synthetic-free. Made with intentional, edible ingredients inspired by the beauty rituals of ancient princesses. Fauna is, quite simply, the brand I always wished existed. A return to real, potent beauty.
