Habakkuk 2:2:3, “ Write the vision, and make it plain.”

God did it again. Throughout this past summer of 2023, my great friend and sister Cierra Carter was educating me on the importance of Black researchers and scholars. As she was teaching me the ways to success in this program as I was working with Becoming Kings as one of the activity assistant’s, I started to do some research on the Ronald E. McNair program and the rest is history.

In addition to my connections with my sister Cierra, she inspired me and gave me miraculous hope to dream big and achieve the vision that God: my Heavenly Father embarked on my life. With my willingness to succeed, and lead by my transparency and resilience, I decided to pray after doing my research on the program throughout the summer of 2023 and gained an official email stating that I have been accepted into the McNair program. Hallelujah, God is good!!!

Furthermore, in my process of getting accepted into the program, I have gained knowledge on how to properly research and network with other Black intelligent McNair scholars. During my time of research from January 20th, all the way to May 2nd, I was finally able to present my research on how the military bases can help the mental, emotional, and physical health of military connected children and families. By the grace of God with the McNair writing mentors, fellow scholars, advisors, and family support, I knew right then and there, all things are possible.

However, on May 10th from 11am to 1pm, God favored me to seize the moment with honor and gratitude to not only give the invocation but to receive my official McNair induction ceremony recognition. I didn’t mean to keep you all long, but I just had to give God, my family and friends, and myself an applause 👏🏾 for a job well done.
