Still one of our favorite wedding celebrations! 🤍 We were so honored to help bring this beautiful day together. All the design credit goes to the bride—and if you couldn’t tell, this is what she does for a living, too! 😉 Every detail reflected her vision, and we loved helping pull it all together so she could enjoy her day. Absolutely stunning, unforgettable, and such a joy to be part of! ✨

7 years ago today, my "The Peace in Perfection" solo show opened at @gallery30south in Pasadena, curated by Matt Kennedy. The body of work was created during one of the most emotionally transformative periods of my life. Within roughly a year, I had gone through a divorce, lost my father, and welcomed my son into the world. There was grief. There was love. There were endings, beginnings, uncertainty, responsibility, and a version of myself I was still learning to understand. A lot of that emotion found its way into the work. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I decided to go BIG. For the exhibition, I created the largest painting of my career—a 60x60 inch painting also titled "The Peace in Perfection". That painting became an accumulation of everything I had learned in building my practice up to that point, mixed with experimentation, instinct, faith, and a willingness to push beyond what felt comfortable. I poured everything I had into it. And it sold🥰 At the time, it became the highest-selling work of my career. That moment meant so much more to me than a sale. It felt like confirmation that the things I envisioned for myself, even before there was evidence, could manifest. That I could trust the vision. Trust the work. Trust the transformation. Trust the process🔑 What I remember most about the exhibition, though, was how deeply people connected with the work. One viewer told me she had to step outside and cry because of what the paintings made her feel—and she wasn’t the only one. I’ll never forget that. People came, left with art, shared moments, and poured so much love into something I had created during one of the most vulnerable chapters of my life. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t just creating a body of work. I was creating my way through grief, love, loss, fatherhood, change—and becoming. And maybe that’s what The Peace in Perfection was really about all along. Finding peace not because everything is perfect... but because you finally understand that it never needed to be. ✨ Seven years later, I’m still dreaming bigger. And I’m still becoming♾️ #VakseenArt #VanityPop #ArtJourney #Gallery30South

We had such an incredible time at this year's Taste of Fort Mill hosted by @thegreenwayladiesguild at @ascgreenway yesterday!! We were a little worried about the rain, but it came through, tested our faith, cleansed our tired souls, and cooled us off just in time for people to arrive and show out! We went through all 450 of our Pecan Pie Tartlets and over 350 servings of our Minestrone soup!! It was such a fun night full of amazing food, our wonderful community, and highlighting some incredible fellow local businesses. Thank you to everyone who kept the faith and came out so we could show you what we are made of and why our town is such an incredible place to enjoy a meal made by people who love what they do! Also Big thank you to @madebyshannonevans for making me the cutest Pecan Pie Tartlet Display! I'm so obsessed with it and can't stop coming up with ideas for more things for us to create! It worked so perfect and allowed me to focus on getting my Minestrone Soup to the masses! Grateful for the Community that surrounds and continously supports me chasing this crazy food dream of mine! Love to you all, -Favi aka Favicakes, your Pecan Pie Plug, your Minestrone Mama 😘😜🥰
