chasing my dreams so that i can analyze yours!

yesterday, i graduated from the university of illinois at urbana-champaign with a degree in clinical psychology and a minor in nutrition! definitely not an easy journey, but i’m one step closer to being a safe space for children & adolescents with mental illnesses.

this fall, i will be attending the chicago school of professional psychology at the dallas campus. i will be pursuing my doctorate in clinical psychology. so excited for this next chapter in life, all glory to God!

I worked, I prayed, and had the GPA.
To Alpha Nu,
Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Vice President. I know it was not always easy but together we put on programs like no other. Thank you to my pros for getting me where I am today and for taking a chance on me.
To D.S.D.S.,
Thank you for keeping me whole and for keeping me grounded. I’m grateful to having 16 sisters for a lifetime and I look forward to all of our adventures.

Meet the creative of the week
🌻Favour🌻

“My name’s Favour Samuel, I’m a senior majoring in Psychology with a concentration in diversity science. I’ve always sort of been a behind the scenes person, observing things and people from the background, and that’s what initially drew me to phototherapy. It was an opportunity to capture the things that I was observing in the background while allowing me to connect with people in a way that I wasn’t able to before. I feel like people think that photography’s just about taking a camera and snapping pics, but for a lot of photographers the true artistry comes in the editing process. It’s very much like taking a canvas and painting a picture of anything that you’re envisioning, and much like other art forms there’s different styles of editing. Art is an act of expression, the undertaking of seeing and feeling for yourself”.
