That's a wrap in Thailand! Had a great time working on Extraction 3. Big thanks to the whole production team for taking such good care of us. Now heading home to Australia. Can't wait for you all to see what's coming.

Justice has been training for more than a couple of months now, and just turned 11.

This is his second set of 3 sets of 8 at 100kg. That's roughly 60% for him. No grinding singles, doubles, or triples at 90%, and no endless volume. Just 3x8 deadlifts, 3x8 bent-over rows, skipping and step-ups to warm up, and out. In and out, no fatigue, no redlining.

I started him much lighter - 60kg for 20s - but there was zero tension in it and he wasn't getting anything out of it. No point doing 20 effortless reps just for the sake of it - he needs real resistance to learn how to recruit his body. Even I was shocked by how easily he moved 100kg. On the last rep there's zero hesitation, he could pull 12 or 13 there easily, but we shut it down at 8.

No belt, no wraps, no straps. If he can't stabilize it himself, it doesn't get lifted. That's the rule.

Major proud dad! 🤯 Honestly, I’m a little bit surprised, but absolutely thrilled. We received Justice’s Year 5 results back, and he completely smashed it.

He topped the national average in Numeracy in Australia...right at the very peak of the 'Exceeding' band! 📈 To top it all off, he’s also excelling into Python programming and doing incredibly well. It’s the same language they use to build AI, so I guess I need to stay on his good side before the robot uprising! 🤖💻

I came across this old photo today. Justice was about nine months here, already confidently making his way around. Looking back through the photos, he actually started walking at seven months.

I still remember taking him to Bunnings when he was about eight months old. An elderly lady watched him toddling around, smiled, and said in the most surprised voice, "He's too young to be walking around."

Kids grow up so quickly. One day they're reaching for your legs, and before you know it, they're walking beside you.

The little old lady at the shops couldn't believe it.
Shaky voice, wide eyes.. "He's too small to be walking around."

She wasn't wrong. He was tiny.

Justice started walking at seven months old. The helmet was my idea. When your kid decides to skip the crawling phase and just get up and go, you protect the asset.

He's been doing things on his own schedule since day one.

This is my favourite kind of moment. No noise. No performance.

Just him, asleep against me, completely at peace. Fawn Tran ❤️
