Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about discipline.

Not discipline as a way of striving or proving myself, but as a way of creating space for God to work.

Discipline to take care of the body He’s given me.
Discipline to read more and quiet my mind.
Discipline to invest in the people around me.
Discipline to make growing in my faith a priority.
Discipline to look beyond myself and keep my eyes fixed on God… not my will, but His.

And underneath all of it, there’s a deeper hope… to prepare myself for the family I’m praying God will give me someday soon.

I want to enter that season healthy, grounded, disciplined, and deeply rooted in Him. I want to become the kind of woman, wife, and one day mother who has learned to care for what God has entrusted to her.

Maybe discipline isn’t always about doing more. Maybe sometimes it’s simply about positioning ourselves where God can meet us and transform us.

This has been my favorite quote from Richard J. Foster’s, Celebration of Discipline:

“Spiritual disciplines are God’s way of sowing us into the ground. They put us where He can work within us and transform us. By themselves, they can do nothing. They can only get us to the place where something can be done by Him.”

What a reminder that the preparation matters, too.

What if being chosen by God meant more than being validated by people? That question has shaped how peaceful every season of my life is.

The older I get the easier it is to choose God’s love over peoples opinions. Since getting married, His peace has flooded my life more than I ever thought possible. When you’re walking in alignment with God’s will for your life, the trials come, but the peace will be fuller. I can promise you that. These photos are a representation of living in that peace.

There’s nothing quite as powerful as a room of women surrendering all, worshipping Jesus, handing off their burdens, and lifting up praise to Him. Her Story 2025 was SUCH an impactful night and I’m so thankful to have been part of the community & encouragement it brought to the women of @chrchunltd 🖤⛪️
