🇹🇭✨ A Memorable Recap — Sawasdee DC Thai Festival 2026! 🎶❤️

Looking back at last month’s Sawasdee DC Thai Festival 2026 @sawasdeedc.thaifest , my heart is filled with gratitude and wonderful memories! ❤️

First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. for thinking of me and giving me the incredible opportunity to be part of this special celebration as both an MC and DJ. 🎤🎧🇹🇭

It was truly an honor and such a fun, unforgettable experience to celebrate Thai culture, share the stage with so many talented performers, and enjoy all the amazing performances throughout the day. Thank you for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful event!

I would also like to take this moment to send a very special THANK YOU to P’Tamie and P’Dew for inviting me to be part of the amazing after-party! 🥳🎶 It was an absolute pleasure bringing music, joy, laughter, and great energy to the celebration while keeping everyone dancing the night away! ❤️🙏🏻 @sumontita @thannarong_s

A huge thank you as well to all the talented artists and celebrities from Thailand for giving me the honor and opportunity to DJ and provide musical support for your performances. It was truly a privilege to be part of your shows and share those special moments with you all. 🙏❤️

And of course, another heartfelt thank you to Sisters Entertainment for your kindness, trust, and for making this wonderful experience possible! @sisterstysons @sisters.entertain.ment

I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities, friendships, laughter, and beautiful memories made along the way. These are moments I will always cherish. ❤️

Until we meet again, DC! 🇹🇭🇺🇸✨

With love and gratitude,
DJ Annie Cahill 🎧❤️

Heritage in form

In Thai classical dance, the smallest gestures carry intention. Fingers curve, wrists soften, and a raised foot suspends the body between balance and movement.

This pose is an interpretation of Chak Paeng Phat Na (ชักแป้งผัดหน้า), a traditional gesture inspired by the act of applying makeup.

What appears delicate is the result of discipline. A language of form refined and passed down through generations.

Heritage in form

In Thai classical dance, the body becomes a language of its own. Curved arms, expressive hands, inclined lines, and measured shifts of weight give shape to each gesture.

A posture is never simply stillness, but a movement held in form.

Heritage in form

Khaek Tao Khao Rang (แขกเต้าเข้ารัง), “the parrot enters its nest,” is a traditional Thai dance posture from Ram Wong Matrathan (รำวงมาตรฐาน). With its curved arms, delicate gestures, and shifting balance, the posture transforms the body into a language of movement.

It appears in Duang Jan Wan Phen (ดวงจันทร์วันเพ็ญ), or “Full Moon Song,” a classical dance piece widely performed at cultural celebrations and holidays.
