It’s freezing out, snow is everywhere, and 2026 has gone from shiny new year to… whatever this is. It was *definitely* time to hug a Galentine and eat an over the top assortment of cakes. Also for impromptu karaoke so we could scream at the top of our lungs, “what’s going on?” Friends were gathered and made, and a specific friend made a special cake (thank you, @mariabordone16 for the bedazzled, cherry-bedecked, show-stopping Pink Pony Club of @dolcettobymaria cakes!). It takes a village of smart friends to throw a party, and we thank ours: @christiemarchese & the amazing Casa Komos @tequilakomos @doladira team for hosting, the @wineyneighbor for the glorious assortment; @ronpassaro @myherocreative for bartending & floristry; and of course Smartest Friend @ruthannharnisch for supporting the myriad @hismartfriend endeavors. Additional beautiful cakes from @petitchou.nyc @wetakethecake @flourshop @floof.cottoncandy & @doans_bakery_woodland_hills (the Tom Cruise cake!). It felt appropriate to combine a feel-good gathering with giving back, so this year Galentine’s doubled as a fundraiser with donations to @rainn @stjude @helloneighborhq @democracydocket @immigrantlawcentermn & others, with numerous excellent prizes to be raffled to those who donate! I’ll be doing that this weekend, so if you want to join for the donation fest, just send me your proof of donation to be entered for prizes from @hugimals, @totuccioalimentari, @dolcettobymaria & more. @ruthannharnisch deserves a National Medal of Honor for all her undeniable compassion. One the most generous, extraordinary and thoughtful humans I have known in my lifetime was in conversation with the tremendous @debbiemillman at @creativemorning. Their discussion was deeply personal, downright hilarious and provocative, and a distinct reminder there is still good in the world. Thank you to @swissmiss for making it possible 🙏🏼🩵

Wow!!! What a weekend! On Thursday at 6:50pm, I was still thinking “if this all goes south, I’ll just have Daniel (of @thesebastiansnyc) step forward and fill the hour with music.” At 6:55pm, I was calling @ashleighgudrun for a pep talk that this was worth doing. At 7:05, you all began cheering. At 7:07, you burst out laughing. And after that I knew if nothing else the show was going to get some laughs. At 8:05, you gave us a standing ovation that made me start to tear up. I had completed what is essentially a brain marathon and you were there for me. And at 8:08, I collapsed in my dressing room crying and I texted @timvc1986 asking “did it make sense?” But at 8:10, I walked out of the dressing room door and ALL of you were THERE! With hugs, and praise and such wonderful appreciation and support. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve been in shock for days. But I am grateful, relieved by how well it’s been received, honored to do it again and just have so much gratitude for who you all are and how you showed up. Because you were there, I could be myself. THANK YOU for being supporters of the work and of me!! ❤️❤️❤️ I wish I could tag everyone but there’s a limit! I didn’t take enough pictures!
