Celebrated with @sparkitph (a few Fridays ago) during their 10th anniversary. 🧡 Happy to be with and see friends from the industry ❤️ It was truly humbling to meet people who are so good at what they do 🙌 and I feel honored to have worked with them during their early events 🥰 (Burger King in 2015! 😮😅)

Franco @fcobigboy would always say that I am such a good storyteller and blogger 🥹 it meant so much to hear those words from a visionary like him. He was truly a sweetheart! We are all continuously learning and growing 🥰 In this ever-changing industry, I’m happy I still get to work with my favorite brands through SparkIt. Thank you for the trust. Today marks 40 days since you left us, but we will never forget everything you did for us and by being an amazing mother to everyone.

The first leg of this year’s biggest adventure yet (head on over to @sparkitla to see what we’ve been up to) just came to a close and I wanted to share the fit I opened the week with.⁣⁣

While I was packing for this business trip, I was back in my old room at my parents house rummaging through my “cold weather” clothes carefully sorted in cubes and by season. A cube for fall clothes, spring clothes, a special cube for Japan (haha, #jetsetspark— when again?), and so on. Suddenly, a random red eco bag with a tribal print maxi dress inside was sitting at the back of the shelf… I thought to myself, “Shet, kelan ko ba to binili? Ang baduy naman.” I really couldn’t remember and it took me a while to figure it out. Needless to say, it was an unexpected find during a time when I needed clarity the most. It was the sign I was asking the universe for to tell me that I am about to head towards the right direction. When I took the “dress” out, tears came running down my cheeks… I started crying like the bandaid was ripped off again and the wound like new. All of a sudden I realized that it was one of @fcobigboy’s old polos… I fell silent and wept. And at that moment I have proven that indeed, grief is a feeling that never leaves you, no matter how okay you are nor how much time has passed. While I would never wear this polo as is, I knew I had to keep it close to me somehow. ⁣⁣And that my friends, is how this photo becomes more than just a mirror selfie.

If you look close enough, said baduy-tribal-dress-na-oops-polo-pala is now a beautiful and my favorite detail in such a well-made, bespoke suit jacket. Thank you Caca for designing this for me and allowing me to keep part of Franco close to me wherever I go. (You really are my sartorial godmother!) Hay Franc, you are forever in my heart. I hope we make you proud.
