I programmed this moment for “100” by KB the week before the conference using Depence. This stacked comparison shows all three perspectives playing together:

It’s always rewarding seeing something programmed ahead of time translate from previs into the real room.

Session 4 was one I’ll never forget.

Getting to do lights for Benjamin Hastings and Aodhan King is something 24-year-old me would’ve never imagined. I grew up listening to Hillsong and Young & Free, so being trusted with moments like these is incredibly humbling.

So grateful for the opportunity to serve, for this amazing team, and for everyone who made Forward Conference possible. It’s been an unforgettable week.

Night Two. ⚡️

We unveiled Curtain, an incredible Notch block created by @camaronbenjamin , bringing a virtual curtain to life with just 6 uplights, 12 battens, and 48 PARs.

The entire worship set with @abbigamboa was completely unprogrammed—no timecode, no cue stack. Just punting every moment as the arrangement naturally unfolded. Pure worship.

Huge shoutout to everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

the direction for content this year was to emphasize the dimensionality of the screen elements in @mkamau.multimedia ‘s design as best we could - contrasting gradients and movement on the crown and upstage screen to build depth, adding energy where necessary but letting the blow through lighting elements and automation to take over wherever possible.

with over 26 looks built for stage LED (and arena ribbon board) for 3 artists with limited timeline - simplicity was key to make things feel consistent going between fully time coded songs and loops.

Feels like home

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to join my Free Chapel family and direct for @kb_hga at @forwardcon !
