Any competition that has cash prize, Tongans are there👏🇹🇴

Thank you Hayward for a great pickleball weekend of fun, food, and unity! So many traveled from afar to celebrate their 5 year Anniversary as a club🙌 LOVED IT!

Still waiting on my winners to take me to BJ’s or Mcdee’s!🤣👏❤️

Follow me on this journey to win $1000 at the next tournament we find…
Ps. It will most likely be my husband, not me I’m just the manager🤣

It’s so fun playing pickleball especially when you’re family is playing on the opposite team🇹🇴👏❤️

My mom registered and sponsored my 2 little sisters (first cousins) to play for Salt Lake’s team before anyone else could ask them…🙌

And what happens? We played each other in our 2nd game and they killed me🤣 Hence no video for the aftermath🥴🤣 just jokes that I can still beat em up as their older sis ;) ps. I would never do that anyway🤣

LOVE how athletic and talented these girls are! They took GOLD in Women’s Advanced Doubles and I couldn’t be more proud! My mom of course was even more proud since Tuimoeofa is named after her🥹 congrats again to my amazing baby sisters @tuimoeofa.selesitiale & @feaooooo 💪 cheehoo🏅

Stake President’s daughters asked him to share a Tongan word of the day… he replied, “nēkeneka.” 🙏🏼🇹🇴

“Nēkeneka hoku loto!” … “my heart is filled with joy!”

“Nēkeneka” is such a beautiful word and I’m sure I have heard it before but never knew it. It is often used in a spiritual context to express a deep sense of peace, happiness, and joy.

I love how the Tongan language can express emotions that go beyond just a feeling….

Have you noticed any other Tongan words that indicate a deeper meaning? Please share- would love to hear!🙏🏼🇹🇴

I just love being Tongan🥹🇹🇴

After playing pickleball for 2 hours, we had “ako faiva” (our last dance practice). Yup, went straight from the courts to dancing. Sorry to my fellow sisters if this homegirl smelt like a few good games of pickleball 🥴🤣

I LOVE being with our people! It’s the sense of FAMILY, mafana (good vibes), and… food. Hehe!

What’s your fave part of being with “your people?”

Not every athlete gets the opportunity to learn from someone who genuinely cares about their growth.

Pouring into athletes how I’ve been poured into. It’s more than teaching volleyball it’s about building confidence, developing discipline, and believing in yourself both on and off the court. Every question answered is another opportunity to grow, and that’s what great coaching is all about. 🏐 ❤️
