A look into Kelly & John’s preview from wedding weekend!!

A few of my favorite things about their day: sweet getting ready moments, beautiful church ceremony, a teary eyed first look with Dad, hugs waiting at the end of the aisle, the temporary tattoos during reception, and a beautiful late night rooftop pic to end the night 🤍

These two had the kind of wedding day where you could just FEEL how excited everyone was. From getting ready in the morning to dancing the night away, every part of the day was filled with so many happy moments. & their portraits!! classy, elegant, and so Chicago. Just the way they like it!

We met by the ocean, drove east by camper trailer, set up home near my fam, near the majestic Great Lakes, birthed our babe, faced our ghosts, transformed and grew, then decided to wed before all those who have loved and nurtured us, especially our families, and our friends, old and new. I never thought I’d get married or even get around to posting these beautiful photos by @annajunghwa but damn, choosing to deepen a relationship, again and again, despite all the baggage and possibilities and perils of being human—choosing you—has been the most good and grounding and even radical thing. I love you so. And I’m mad that this song of ours will be an ear worm in my head until the end of time.

The LondonHouse cupola has been an iconic part of Chicago’s wedding scene since opening in 2016, and we were so excited to have the opportunity to capture Gianna & Nick’s special moments in this incredible space! With just one hour in the cupola, we made the most of every minute.

We truly can’t say it enough.. this was such a fun day for us to be a part of! We’re so excited to share more from Gianna & Nick’s wedding, including their official wedding film trailer coming soon! ✨

One of my favorite details from our wedding day truly was Felipe’s incredible custom suit by Nicholas Joseph.

We wanted his look to feel very him—effortless, timeless, with a a lot of personality. We fell in love with the fabric’s sage undertones and terracotta-peach stripes, which gave it the sweetest vintage feel. The leather buttons on his double-breasted jacket were the perfect finishing touch.

Felipe chose the final details himself and kept it a surprise from me until the wedding day. The only thing I knew was the fabric pattern, so seeing the final look for the first time was such a special moment.

To make it even more special, we added a beautiful gold owl brooch with coral & emeralds. The owl symbolizes his mother, making it an especially meaningful piece to have close to him as we started this new chapter together.

I loved how beautifully his suit complemented both of my looks, but most of all, I loved seeing him in it.

Happy birthday to my husband, Felipe. I’m so excited to celebrate your first birthday as your wife. Cheers to you, to us, and to all the beautiful years ahead ✨

Anne Barge bride, Katie, visited Anne Barge retailer @bellabiancabridalcouture and chose the Abington gown for her modern downtown Chicago wedding.
