A year ago I did a photo series with these big eyes as my prop and it was all kinds of fun so I wanted to bring them back. To keep it interesting though, I thought I'd ask some cool photographers to shoot the eyes with me and then we could all throw our pictures together in one big eyeball buffet for you to enjoy. Sorry, I know "eyeball buffet" is a gross mental picture but it was the best analogy I could think of. Notes:

1) I took this picture. This is how the barista looks at you when you ask for 14 pumps of vanilla.

2 and 3) These were taken by @mtmarlett, my favorite photographer. This shoot took a few hours and involved us climbing a hill, climbing down to some train tracks in the dark and then hiking through rattlesnake infested desert on the way back to the car. Now I'm done working out for the whole year.

4 and 5) Beautiful film photos taken by @mrmoore. @mrmoore is my favorite photographer. We went to Long Beach and made a sand man with the eyeballs and a little umbrella hat. Also we didn't bring sunscreen and both turned the same color as marinara.

6 and 7) I threw the eyes in boxes and shipped them to my favorite photographer, @feather.fall.visual, for these vibey shots. He had them for a month and sent me like 200 possible photos and after a while I was like "wait... these are proof of life photos aren't they? You're kidnapping my eyeballs aren't you?"

8 and 9) Changing it up, here's a pair of paintings by my favorite artist, @liquid_computer. @liquid_computer showed me a watercolor painting they did of the eyeballs and I was like "oh man you shouldn't have shown me this now I'm going to beg you to make more eyeball art for a collab post". Sometimes we bring problems on ourselves.

10) I took this picture. This is my face when I taste the coffee with the 14 pumps of vanilla.

That's it for now. Would you be cool if I turned this into a semi-regular photo project? Already talking to some great photographers for the winter version of this post, that's why I ask.

11/15/25 (Photos from the Botanical Garden Snapcity Photowalk hosted by Lia! I saw many familiar faces and had a blast talking with people and their unique techniques and styles. I saw a mix of long exposure+flash, macro photography, and old-school film cameras! Honestly I've been a bit burnt out from editing so I'm doing random styles to bring that spark again. I always end up coming back to a monochrome-ish cyan for some reason)
