Our 1930’s home has brought me so much joy. Bringing color and new life to her makes my ❤️😊. So many projects currently happening and many more to come. It’s so important to me to honor her original glory and I keep uncovering ways to restore her to that. #oldhouse @rochebobois @wesleyhallfurniture @jamaligallerylasolas @canvasandcargo @benevolent_design_co @greenbrierlightingathilltop @schumacher1889 @annieselke

GO TO ESTATE SALES 🏡

• Visit estatesales.net (find local sales & browse the items beforehand) VB friends follow @featherednestvb
• Day one will be full price, last day will be reduced pricing! (Even as much as 50%)
• Ask the company where the remaining items are going after the sale (typically a thrift store…this is exactly how I found some of my fav spots)
• Prices will be higher BUT reasonable … items are often higher quality, unique & collectible!
• I find estate sales best for furniture, wall art, unique knick knacks, jewelry & quality kitchen supply!

This beautiful home in one of Virginia Beach’s best neighborhoods has SOLD! This home was in an estate managed by two daughters. Our client said “We were beyond thrilled to get the home cleared out, renovated and under contract in less than 6 weeks from the first time we spoke.” Eric and I find great joy in helping people. We hit the ground running on this home. We brought in @featherednestvb to help with the contents of the home. We chose new paint and flooring, coordinated renovations and staged it ourselves to get the most out of the sale. And used our stellar marketing plan which resulted in multiple offers. Congratulations to our sellers! We ❤️ helping people.

Amazing restoration on these knives by my good friend Tuffy. Most folks know him as Max but I first met him as Tuffy back in 1996 down around Lynnhaven Inlet. I was frustrated trying to learn how to “wire line” fish the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel tubes and he overheard me complaining about it. He said if I took him out there he would show me some tricks and that he did. We caught 6 nice rockfish, a grey trout and 7 flounder up to 5 pounds in less than two hours! We hit the dock and I went straight to Jessie Bukie and ordered a custom wireline outfit with a Penn 320gti reel. Anyway it turns out he knows his way around knives too. The first pic is the before and it gets better after that. Classic Dexter Russell, Sabatier, Latham & Owen, and lastly the vintage Rapala. Thanks @maxtheknife2012 These blades will meet some fish and game very soon!
It is also worth noting that most, and the best, of these knives were found at @featherednestvb estate sales.

A few weeks back we stopped by the estate sale of legendary local hunter and philanthropist Frank Hudgins. The sale was handled by @featherednestvb whose team does a spectacular job of respecting the family, their home and belongings. If you are ever in need of estate dispersal services Feathered Nest is the standout operation in Tidewater and should be your first call. I got there late but found a few items that I will treasure forever. A signed copy of the late Travis Morris’ book on Currituck lore. There were great original pencil sketches by Rick Romano of Blue Pete Haven, the site of the legendary Hunter’s Feast put on by Mr. Hudgins and his friends. A pair of oyster knives with Frank’s mark on them was also a great find. Last pictures are of one of the many hats for sale and the man it honored, Henry Johnson. Many thanks to Suzanne and her team at Feathered Nest for putting on a great sale and honoring Frank!

As we look forward to Thanksgiving this week, we wanted to let you know what we are thankful for. First and foremost, we thank our Veterans! A big thanks to all of our title sponsors @larrythecarguy @suttlemotors @fishseigler @oystercoveboatworks @fishburnart with your help, Legends of the Fly raised $12,800 for @phwff and @sealkids this year! We would like to also thank everyone who donated raffle and silent auction items as well. And lastly, we would like to thank all who participated in the tournament, especially boat captains who donated time to get vets out on the water. Thank you all for a real good time!!! Stay tuned for updates as we look forward to planning some fun things for 2022. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃
