ORKTOBER — DAY 8 One of the hardest locations to find for Warchief was the forest itself. We needed somewhere that felt ancient and otherworldly, while still somehow familiar. Many of the forests we looked at were either too dense to film effectively or simply felt too new. Eventually, I spotted the Blacklands behind Red Lodge in Suffolk while driving to other location recces. I had no idea who owned it, so I went into the local pub and asked. They pointed me towards the farmer they thought was responsible for the land, so the next day I drove over and introduced myself. Thankfully, they were incredibly welcoming and bent over backwards to support the production. Sometimes making an independent fantasy film really does come down to walking into a pub and asking who owns the mysterious forest down the road. #Orktober #Warchief #FantasyFilm #Suffolk #BehindTheScenes

A key fact noted by the charities that we worked with on the development and making of @standingonthebridge_film was the statistic that men don’t tell a family member, friend or work colleague that they are being abused. This is mainly because men don’t show emotion and are not believed. Here, @chrisforbescomedy in the role of ‘Jacob’ sits alone in his office, but what is being said at the end of the phone? Three Records, Three Lives with @bethiabeadman A 5dB Production Made alongside the release of Bethia’s new album ‘Kitten Feel’, this short film follows Bethia as she revisits three records from different points in her life. Records were the perfect starting point for this film, as the way they inhabit our lives; rooms we’ve lived in, relationships and past versions of ourselves. After many years working as a DP and in the camera department, this is the first short film I’ve directed myself, so it feels very special to share this. Bethia is an artist and songwriter whose work moves through swamp-pop, New Orleans, Detroit, mantras, world tours with Hole and magic. Loved making this with her. Thank you so much to @5dbmedia and everyone involved ♥️ Shot on 16mm Kodak 500T with a Tiffen 85 filter, with special thanks to @kodak_shootfilm Director / DP - @rosie_taylor_ Produced by @rosie_taylor_ & @scarbonarra Executive Producer - @scarbonarra Location Sound, Sound Design & Mix - @aelovera Focus Puller - @huikarl Gaffer - @fedbelloli Make-up - @kimiemakeup Camera Rental - @theunitbag Editor - @rosie_taylor_ Colour Grade - @_nlsn_ Colour Producer - @hannahrosegeorge Colour House - @selectedworks.tv Processed & Scanned by @kodak_shootfilm London Featuring ‘Dragonfly’ instrumental & ‘Brick’ by @bethiabeadman
