Its that time of the year we say farewell to those who have completed their studies here at The University of Tampa 👨🏻‍🎓🥹

Enrique Herrera, a 4 year player that had various stints with the men’s varsity roster here at UT! He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Joining the club back in Fall of 2021, Enrique proved himself over the years to make sure whenever he scored a goal, it was an absolute banger.

Whilst Enrique may have left us three times for the school team, we still hold a big amount of appreciation for Kike. We always encourage our players to pursue moving up so to see a player continuously getting noticed is really special for the club. The man had very few words throughout his years, as his play did the talking. A true maestro in the midfield where the ball stuck to his foot like there was glue, but when that ball left his foot towards goal we all knew it would go in. Being 1 of 3 brothers that played for the club, we knew what was in store when another Herrera stepped foot into the program. Theres a lot to say about the player and the talent, but what follows is also a great person.

Enrique says his favorite memory was that previous trip Virginia for the CCS Finals as it was his first tournament with the team and was glad he was able to attend a tourney before his time ended here. He claims to have been the top scorer so we will let him continue thinking that 😅

One last Oleeee Kikeeeee 🗣️

Its that time of the year we say farewell to those who have completed their studies here at The University of Tampa 👨🏻‍🎓🥹

Federico Cortes, one of the most passionate men to wear the black and red, and white. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Joining the club back in Fall of 2022, Fede spent time as a vice president for several semester before graduating.

Fede brought that Brazilian love and passion to the game. Never afraid to put in a crunching tackle, embraced pressure on the ball, facilitated the midfield like a maestro. The man favors a cheeky meg more than a goal as we waited until his senior year to bag his first goal for the club. They dont make many men like Fede, as durable as a Duracell battery. Injured, sick, homework, whatever it was he was a guy you could count on to give it everything and we really appreciate that about him. The energy and passion is something we as a club are really appreciative for.🫶🏼

Fede says his favorite memory about the club was our previous trip to the CCS Finals, despite being low in numbers he holds a special appreciation for the guys who went in which allowed him to play in his final tournament and end it on a good note. He got the chance to play as much soccer as he could before hanging up the boots, and without that group of friends he wouldnt have been able to do that. He wants to express his gratitude for meeting everyone he has throughout the years, he was able to continue playing the game he loved beside an incredible group of people that always made him happy to be there. He will miss everyone 😢

Dont forget about us Fede cause we wont forget about you 🫶🏼

Adversity is a privilege and an honor as it only makes you stronger based on how you deal with it.

Played some of our best footy to date with the fewest numbers we’ve ever had. Obviously we wanted more but this tournament was nothing to keep our heads down about. This truly was a special group, and we will continue to make ourselves known.
