BSU gathered on October 5th , 2026 to help Feeding America distribute over 6,175 pounds of food. This will provide more than 5,145 meals for families in our community. THIS IS WHAT BSU MEANS TO US🖤#blackstudentunion#nicolethighschool @feedamericawi

Our Million Meal Pack jambalaya kits are delicious on their own, and incredibly easy to make at home. Flavorful and ready to help fill plates in our community.

We’re excited to partner with talented local chef and restaurateur Ruta Kahate of Ruta’s Fresh Indian Fare (located just down the street from the event!), who made one of the kits and added her own spin with affordability in mind. Ruta adds her signature bold and comforting flavor to each bite with a rich garlic-tomato sauce, warming cumin and turmeric, hearty chickpeas, and frozen spinach.

And be sure to join Ruta at the Million Meal Pack on November 5. As one of our Team Captains, she’ll be helping lead the charge as we pack ONE MILLION meals for neighbors facing hunger across our communities.

Sack Hunger Bags are here! 🛍️

For just $5, you can donate a bag filled with pantry essentials that provides five meals for neighbors in need. Simply drop purchased bags in the collection bin past checkout, and our local pantry partners will pick it up daily, keeping your generosity right here in the community.

And a HUGE thank you to our amazing associates and volunteers who packed 55,000 bags on 9/17 and 10/1.

Had a great time developing and leading the last SNAP-ED workshop (@feedamericawi)! Participants got to taste a healthy dip with different fruits and taste new fruits they hadn’t tried before. They learned about the importance of variety and nutrition pyramid all while enjoying a drink from @lafincacoffeehouse and making new friendships. 🤗 it was great seeing kids ages 1 to seniors participating and trying new foods and having bilingual conversation. ♥️✨

One participant walked over 9.6 miles to come to the workshop. This shows the excitement for learning and need for transportation to help reduce barriers. People want to learn and participate. Let’s find ways to help them.

Our team recently volunteered alongside Sal at @feedamericawi , sorting food to help support our neighbors across Eastern Wisconsin.

Together, we’re covering more ground and helping more people chart their course forward. We partnered with Sal because his commitment to showing up and giving back makes us proud to have him on our team.

Join us tomorrow for our fifth and final FREE SNAP-ED at @lafincacoffeehouse. Participants should be participating in SNAP/EBT or limited income please.

Participants will learn how to make a healthy sunflower yogurt dip and sample it with some fruits. Participants will also get to try different fruits to increase a variety of nutrients into the diet. Lastly participants will learn how to stay active and stretch their budget and increase healthy variety.

We’ve been having such a great time doing the @feedingwisconsin SNAP-ED workshops these past couple days. This was at @wsfarmersmarket yesterday. It was great to see people try new vegetables they had never tried before and most people had never pickled before. So many new friendships and great conversations were had in this intergenerational bilingual workshop at Walker Square Park (one of the very few green spaces in this area).

Lo hemos pasado de maravilla impartiendo los talleres SNAP-ED de @feedingwisconsin durante estos últimos días. Esta foto es de ayer en @wsfarmersmarket. Fue fantástico ver a la gente probar verduras nuevas que nunca antes habían consumido; además, la mayoría de los participantes nunca habían preparado conservas encurtidas. Surgieron muchas amistades nuevas y hubo conversaciones estupendas en este taller intergeneracional celebrado en Walker Square Park (uno de los poquísimos espacios verdes de la zona).

Join @floryraizmke tomorrow at 1pm for a SNAP-ED workshop to learn how to incorporate different healthy foods to your daily meals to increase your healthy food choices. All participants will be able to participate and make pickled cucumbers and learn how to incorporate that with other veggies! Maybe you don’t like beets by themselves but picked beets? Yum! 😋

Limited amount of supplies for picked cucumbers so make sure you come on time!

Also don’t forget you can double your EBT dollars (up to $20) with @doubleupwi at our market!

Thank you Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin for the recognition of the “Hunger Hero Award” , for the work Gee’s Clippers do addressing food insecurities in the community.

Congratulations to my good friend Cecelia Gore, and the other 2 recipients of this year’s award as well.

This year Gee’s Clippers is partnering with Feeding America and a few other organizations to do something we’ve never done before!!! November 21st, (the Saturday before Thanksgiving) we are providing turkeys, hams and sides to 1,500 families! That’s more than double the amount we’ve ever provided to families in Milwaukee.

Yesterday, our team, along with our Wisconsin and family-owned business partners, @badger_liquor and @frankliquorcompany, spent the afternoon volunteering with @FeedAmericaWI Eastern Wisconsin.

Together, we packed 1,186 pounds of food, providing 988 meals, to help individuals and families throughout our community.

Wisconsinbly Cares™ is proud to work alongside our partners to support the organizations making the great state of Wisconsin even greater. A huge thank you to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin for having us and for all you do! ❤️
