:This Saturday: I will be joined by a few jedis for what I am calling a stream fest, on twitch for @parlorden. @djdocramadhan @djpnut15 @feelbeale @drjp514 @samuelmosching @rudopholis #djrobalahn @ves_120 @djtoratora and more. July 17-18 starting at 8a est on Saturday. Djs, live music and cocktails Curations with @missadib Link in bio

Last year when I accepted the role of music director for parlor, I had no clue the world would really close. When it did I needed to activate myself, exercise organizing djs, while continuing to build relationships and scout talent.
We ran scrimmage daily on twitch. Not understanding the platform, but knowing djs needed to stay active and people needed connection to GOOD anything, in this case music.

Of course with the world “open”, some have found it unnecessary to continue to build, collaborate, and network on these platforms.

Even though I struggle with a lot of things about twitch particularly, I have been streaming in some capacity for well over 12 years.
I understand the idea of reaching people in different spaces and how it can aid in creating opportunities IRL.

All this to say keeping this component as an extension of #parlordenatl #parlordenmusic, keeps me and hopefully other motivated, while building relationships that hopefully pay off in furthering. 🙏🏾@abstonconsulting

Streaming has several purposes for content creators seeking to market and reach people they may never exclusively playing in venues. I as well as some others have been consistent in this effort before and beyond the pandemic, as it is valuable content and connectivity. Consistency is key. #Parlordenmusic on twitch quietly hit an anniversary recently that wasn’t addressed, thus a stream fest…
